The only thing you'll possibly miss from the 765 is the sharper sound, though personally I like the quieter deeper sound of the 1160

@@sweet-triple-UK i will be selling the 765, I would love to keep the 765 but it will probably just sit in garage, but it’s the hardest choice I have had to make as it’s an awesome bike.

I was sorely tempted but can't really justify it right now. It could very well be my next bike, it's a dream to ride isn't it. Did you see my little plug to your page in the cards bit? hahaha.

I was thinking to adjust the handle bars upwards a bit to make it more comfortable instead of the leaning forward feel you get on it , do you think it will adversely affect the ride ?

Yeah they corner like a dream don't they! Wish I had canyons to go riding in, they sound immense! Where are you from and where are you riding your beast?

@@sweet-triple-UK I'm from central California about an hour and a half north of los Angeles. I ride up in the Sierra Nevadas by a little town called glenville. If you look on Google maps granite Rd is about the best Rd ever and the one I ride the most theme there are a few other roads out here as well. Actually a lot we are lucky in Cali we are only 20 mins from a good canyon road any were in cali

@Swedpilot, I’m going to be really annoying and say it depends on the application. For longer miles occasional tour etc the Speed is a bit more roomy and will be better for longer distances as the engine is more flexible for road riding. I would also say that I find the Street more fun on the road, it’s peak power delivery (in the first few gears at least) is within national speed limits so much more usable everyday fun and more nimble, peaky and flickable. The Speed triple is in triple figures and licence losing region very quickly but is defo managable if you have self control. What’s my point, I guess I’d go for the speed and pay the difference if I was commuting a lot, wanted more power and grunt for touring etc and a wider range of power. For outright fun and precision handling, trackdays etc, I would go for the street all day long. It’s a better bike for that, and looks nicer! Personally I would buy the STRS.

@@sweet-triple-UK I own a 2021 Tracer 9 (base model) for the moment, but am looking for something with a sportier and more precise handling in the twisties and on the occasional track day. I don't tour much, it's mostly day trips to/in the twisties. I'm not necessarily looking for more power. The strs is up about 10 HP, but down 13 Nm, compared to the T9, which power and torque feel "about perfect"... It's so hard to make up my mind...

Are you able to get to a Triumph dealer and try them both out for size? They should let you ride them back to back so you can see for yourself.

I didn’t notice the light, I don’t think so mate maybe a service light if it was ready for the 1st service or something. Honestly will be the best decision you make if you get one, I loved it!

I bought one and the Transmission warning ⚠️ light came on so I took it back to Triumph they did a software update then it came back on , no acceleration past 60 mph , then the low oil pressure warning ⚠️ came on it was an ex demo so I’ve taken it back to Triumph ! Unacceptable for a £15000 bike imo

Yeah I noticed as soon as I had to look in them so sorted that out straight away, around 2-3 minutes into the video.

I thought it was good but I also hear the Tuono….is…….amazing! Really want to have a ride on one.

Similar ride and suspension and power but the Tuono is dog fugly and not nearly as good sound.

Oh really? Let me know what the downsides are, long term? It’s hard to get a full rounded opinion in an hour. I’m sorry if my review lead you down the wrong path man, it was my honest reaction though. I remember your post a while back before you bought it.
