Thanks for the insight. It seems that Triumph and H-D are a bit secretive about what gets built where. I think the first Taiwan Triumph I rode was the Street Twin, and it was a knockout. Best I can tell, my 09 Speedy was Hinckley, but perhaps not. My Honda Ridgeline pickup was built in Alabama. Can’t fight progress
@@poormansmotorcycleclub7581 no problemo mate. That would have been an interesting visit. I'd love to travel around the world, visiting the manufacturers. Could be a while before it's possible, sadly.
Not really fake, it’s functional, a throttle body made to look like a carb, saying that it’s fake insinuates that it serves no purpose other than aesthetics, not unlike the airbox on a v-rod, or the swingarm on a softail.
hey mate, love the review, i didnt like the speed master at first but now i love them, i have a triumph T100 and i love it also,,,,,,,,,,,i got a laugh out of the young fella saying is this a fake motorcycle. cheers fellow triumph lover/rider
Hi. Iv just put your exhausts on my 2013 America. I did have the shorter ones on off road ones.. just asking would u know if I now need to retune my bike to compensate the exhaust change. Thanks for any info. Iv put them on and they seem fine
Thanks for the vid! I just passed my MSF Basic course and am looking for a beginner bike at 49 years of age and 6ft. I tested out a used 2007 America yesterday and it was a fun ride. They've also a 2013 Speedmaster for just a little bit more. Do they handle differently or is it virtually the same? The seat seemed a little more cramped, but now I want to go test drive it as well.
I’m told it’s the same machine except chrome and a tach on the Speedy. I think all bikes have tiny differences in feel and performance. Congratulations and have fun!
Man! I love this motorcycle (came across it today looking for something else) and now that I learned yours was featured in Longmire i am hooked. I am 6.2 and a few years pass my 50 so starting to embrace the realities of ergonomics and age without giving up on my passion (motorcycling). So i am seriously considering this. The alternatives are Goldwyn and R-1800 Classic. Will see were my tush ends on top of. Great review btw
You can’t quite get the same machine new anymore. Absolutely the only issue I had was batteries. Because some computer safeguard requires a completely full charge, I ended up replacing batteries a couple or three times.
I liked your video. But, Bloor bought some land and got the Triumph logo and rights with it. There was a substantive gap when no bikes were produced. In fact although owned by a Brit the company can no longer call itself a manufacturer of British bikes as they don't produce a high enough percentage in the UK. There was a purposeful drive to employ Eastern European staff in the Hinckley site for quite a while and whilst i have zero problems with this it has come at the cost of local employment. It's all pretty sad.
Hi, thanks for watching. I ordered the kit online 5 years ago, forgot the brand. I just now searched “Triumph Speedmaster blinking taillight,” and a few options popped up. I’m not sure if one of them is the one I had installed.
