Sometimes you as rough as a bears arse the way you do things but it works. Got to say that motor is stunning, really nice paint job. You should be really proud what you've achieved Ben, very nice, I look forward to the next one.

The timing on this could not be better. I just looked out of the window intending to go for a walk, and as per usual in the UK it's raining. Checked YT to see if anyone had added an upload and found part 3, and it's a decent length too. Thanks for making my afternoon, you sir are a star.

By far and away your best ever car! The colour almost de-ages the Spitfire and makes it look brand new. Can't wait for an engine refurb and dress up and I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up a keeper!

You may have invented a new thing, “ wet polishing” great job 😁. I hope all the money and work you have put in gives a small profit when you sell it. It looks amazing. Painting metallic, in a shed with basic tools, is an amazing feat.

Used to have a red spitfire mk3. (Or rather my wife did). Loved it, but baby forced reluctant sale back in 1984. 40 years on and I doubt I would be able to get out of a spitfire without crawling out on hands and knees. What an awesome watch. Absolutely right about the colour choice, it’s just amazing, a real head turning car. I love it!

More in-depth mini series like this. Great to see the highs and lows of car restoration. I understand that it’s financially, physically & mentally draining but the end results are amazing.

Wow what a gem she turned out to be, I was watching in my front room and 7.2m of my friends and family came round for a cuppa so it looks like you need to do the lot now 😅 I would love to see the engine all painted and chromed up to to complement what a great job you have done to exterior 😊 if I had the cash i would buy this off you and treasure it in an instant, I wasn't sure about the colour when you first mentioned it but you was 110% right the green pops. You need to give yourself the credit you deserve, well done that man! 😁👏👏👏

Phenomenal job! I know you've earned some time off, and you want to get on with the next car, but I'd love to see one more Spitfire episode - fitting the tan interior to match the hood, and detailing the engine and firewall. The way this project turned out, it would be a shame not to really finish it off in style. Having said that, I googled images of a Sunbeam-Talbot 90 and I can't wait to see that as well, so just do whatever brings you the most joy.

I had a white Spitfire 1971 "J" plate in the early 90's. Wish I had kept it. That car looks gorgeous, testament to the hard work put into it

I have to say you've nailed that, you've freshened it up with out slapping lots of modern bits like massive modern wheels and silly headlights. The Midget project I am doing is going to get a few suttle upgrades but in keeping with the period and a few tweaks out of sight. 100% this is probably one of the best British YT channels out there, its on a par with the American channels I love to watch as well.

To supplementkingbrand. ACTUALLY, having seen the glorious cream hood, later in the video, I think that's enough. The hood contrasts with the nice colour of the paint. BUT the black upholstery looks nice anyway, with those smart new black carpets!
