@christopherscott3322 all the back section and seat I made myself but if you want something similar without all the work you van use the rear sun frame and rear plastics from a speed triple, the seat may fit too but you will have to modify the hook system at the front to secure it in
Hi, thanks for that, I have some photos but not many as I've never been in the habit of taking photos unfortunately, I made the rear plastics using the plastic from the side fairings by cutting, heating it up and melting it into shape then cutting the front part of the side fairings at around half way through the seat if that makes sense, I also made the seat pan using the old seat pan, the rear panel I had to do twice because I put it in the oven to cure the fiberglass quicker and forgot about it 😄 hope that answers your question
This is awesome! If you don’t mind sharing?) Which front fender and radiator side fairings did you use on your build? I am restoring 2003 Sprint RS and loving your look! Thank you.
Hi thanks, Front fender is from a fireblade I think but I can't remember, I just looked at it online and new I could make it fit, The radiator is a custom one that had to have the thermostat tapped into it and the lugs welded to fit the radiator guards, They are for the old speed triple
Yes stock Internals, it's only a low boost system so I've set the boost to around 5psi, I would estimate it to be around 150bhp minimum, Mapping I have the tune ecu app and can adjust things within the app as needed, Air intake temp was colder from standard so I had to make adjustments to that at lower rpm, The turbo I would consider slightly too big it's a 28/71 but as jts a low psi system it just means the boost comes on a bit later in the rev range, I have a boost adjust valve, waste gate and sump valve so plenty of adjustment
@@Turbofab oh awesome thanks for the detailed reply , all sounds very sensible and a fairly inexpensive way of having a very unique bike with a real decent amount of power . I’ve got a 955i speed and love seeing peoples builds on them as they’re such a cool strong platform. All the best
@bentraves4332 I definitely think there would of been cheaper ways of doing it but I wanted it to look how I visioned, and keeping the turbo tucked in down the bottom made things alot harder, learning how to tig weld then making myown headers and exhaust was enjoyable but expensive but they don't sell them off the shelf so it was the best option, making all the back end, dash panel, radiator grill was well worth it, Thanks for your comments
With it vwing a triple and set to 8psi maximum there was no need for me to lower compression, I used the garret 28,71 which is over size so lower rpm it rides normal and boosts at higher rpm
@anthonysarantis7650 oil feed is adapted off the sump via double banjo bolt, one feed goes to the turbo the other goes to the oil cooler, the turbo has a 1mm restrictor in it and the oil return I drilled and tapped the clutch casing, also fitted two crank case breathers into a billet catch can with a set of breather filters ontop, the turbo oil pump and catch can is hidden inside the belly pan
I haven't yet, it's certainly an improvement on standard which is all I was looking for, but I will eventually get her on a dyno, not long moved house so she's currently buried , what brought you to the video, have you got one or looking to do one
@RonWick999 yes I still have it, it's in storage at the moment as I'm currently living in my van, I've only ridden it a few times since this video, I have another video of me taking off at the prescott hill climb event but that's all I have, I will upload it on my page now, it's a bit of a wheelie, I was just messing around because of new tyres I couldn't get proper traction
