Greetings from Hereford, England. I agree with your bodybuilder/ powerlifter scenario. The Harley V-Twins are iconic, dating back more than 120 years! They're certainly the bodybuilder - big, shiny, muscular, and loud 😂. The Triumph 'powerlifter' is hard working, adaptable, and powerful. True, Triumph are now better known for their triples, but theirs no escaping the fact that from the 50's to the 70's, Triumph was in its element, roaring down the road with their beautiful thumping twin soundtrack. Even Steve McQueen rode Triumphs 😉👍🏻. I've had a Thunderbird LT 1700 since 2017 and it's truly the best bike I've ever had. She's got a Vance & Hines exhaust system and a power commander to keep the power controlled. She wipes the floor with Harleys, from a speed & performance point of view, and from what I've heard, is a good deal more reliable. I've thought about putting a supercharger on her, but I'm worried it may create reliability issues. Many thanks for the vid - it's good to know these bikes are loved the world over. Keep it 2 ✌🏼
I know this is 5 yrs old. I bought one of these last year (2022) Its such a beast. Pulled stock stuff out. K&N, BC Hog Slayer pipes. Cat removed. Dyno Tuned. Power band from 83.8 to 88.3 and Tq 103.7 to 111 Ft Lbs. Get it off the stock tires and put a AVON Storm on the rear. I upped the front to a 130. In the twisties it cuts in like crazy! Its not an inline. That would be a Rocket. This is a PARALLEL TWIN. The largest one ever made. For a windscreen I got a ATV generic shield from Amazon that looks great and I found the sweet spot to have no head buffeting. I just spent my winter repainting to British Green and Copper. I have also swapped out the rider pegs for Kuryakyn Mini boards. Custom stuff is now hard to find for this bike but its SOOO worth it. I wish Triumph would have figured out how to market it much better. The biggest complaint, the Clutch pull distance and the Brake leaver. Couldn't we have gotten some adjustable ones??
Shariq your VlogS are superb clean and different from others that's a compliment , really that bike is mammoth just on stands also you look very tiny on it along with owner of the bike too. I am not at all discouraging you just a lighter side You are doing awesome . This concept of q and a on bikes ownership etc hope you would continue in future too .

The back shocks ajust only the coil springs hight, not the damping , but when I ride with my girlfrend, the bike smooth out alot. Wee can ride on highways between 5 to 6 hundreds km no back problems.
Looks a cool piece of kit - a 1700cc vertical twin -- good simile -- a powerlifter v a bodybuilder. I'd get one of these if I was in the market for one. Good review!
not once you get used to it. She balances superbly. I often roll up to traffic light and just trickle her forward while waiting for the lights to change. Yes filtering is harder but that is more due to the amount of room you take up rather than any problem with handling, oh and that size can help in traffic apparently it's quite intimidating coming up behind someone with those twin beams and the deep exhaust note
I have had this bike for 5 years. I go to work everyday in a lot of traffic. It is low and easy to control for me. The only problem I have is the clutch is a little heavy to pull after a while and my hand cramps. On the highway! No problems!!!!!

i am just 54kg and this monster weighs 370 380kg fully loaded 😂 i can't ride it the bike should be come with warning that only 100kg above people can ride it
50 kg girls ride the heavier Indian bikes bro. The weight is not an issue in low seater cruisers as the low seats make you plant your feet on the ground perfectly

I have owned a storm for 3 years now and could not disagree with u more. This bike is easy to ride loves to be ridden hard, the clutch is easy and about 11 stone and less than 6 foot. I find it easy to ride even two up with luggage it’s not wars to turn, not as easy as a sports bike but not difficult and there are vibrations it’s not smooth like a sports bike
I agree with you, not to happy with the sound myself , unfortunately my camera dose not have a possibility to attach one, so need to find another solution. 👍
