This is a tutorial to show replacement of Triumph tiger 1050 upside fork springs and oil seal replacement without any special tools. I have posted the video after riding the bike for almost a week and had no trouble or leaks whatsoever. This job will require two people and a lot of patience.

Great video. A few recommendations I'd say would be that you would be better off not testing the fork with your stomach and your "buddies" above it. If it fails and goes catastrophically bad, youre going to have a bad day lol. The other recommendation id say would be to not use metal on metal tools. So as not to cause any damage doing the repair or possibly cause corrosion due to dissimilar metal contamination. Again, great video. Subscribed and looking forward to more videos.

Great video, thanks for sharing. Where did you buy your hand guards?

Thanks @kurttallon. My hand guards are stock triumph guards that came from the factory.

Well they're nicer than the stock ones we have in the UK 🇬🇧 👍

Hi. Thanks for the video. I'm prepping to do my seals. What term do I search for to find that clamp? I'm having trouble finding it. All three point clamps I find have flat points, not the pointy points.

Thank you!!! Great video!! I have changed seals but one fork is more stiff than the other. Why????
@gasNgears
@gasNgears Год назад
Hello bud, one fork is compression, and the other one is a dampner so they are supposed to be like that on these bikes. A slight difference is normal. Cheers.

@@gasNgears okkk. Do you know why the steering "pulls" when turning?? Before the seal replacement everything was ok

@@paekeajiab4743 Taking a shot in the dark mate, I would check the wheel and fork alignment to begin with. Minor misalignment could be the culprit!

Hello very nice job.. I like your guardrails , which company are they?
@gasNgears

Thanks bud! Those are made by Heed. It's a polish company that makes decent bars. These also cheaper in comparison to SW Motech bars. Cheers!

Good video, as all your videos are. Can you please tell me the fork on the sprint st 1050 abs is the same as on the tiger or speed triple ?
@gasNgears
@gasNgears Год назад
Thank you for the kind comment, bud. I am fairly certain that Sprint St 1050 ABS doesn't have the upside down Showa forks like the tiger. I had the Sprint St 1050 about 10 years and it had regular shocks. Pyramid Seals were best recommended for those shocks back then, not sure if they are still available nowadays. Cheers

Haha no mate, not yet but I am paranoid for sure. Having no centre stand makes it super dodgy to take out the front end.
