I have a. 660cc street triple S. I test rode this without knowing it was the same power. It was a great bike, but I was left thinking my own bike is no slower. What is the thinking there with extra cc?

Enjoyed your review. I ride a lot of bumpy, poor quality roads. What is ride quality like over the bumps ?

Thanks 🙂 the suspension was on a standard setting and I did managed to find some rough road, it was absolutely fine from my point of view at keeping me comfortable 👍

Hello and congrats for you deep and accurate rewievs. I have the possibility to pick a Tiger Rally Pro 900 or an Africa Twin Adventure Sport manual, both brand new at the same price. So, how do they compare each other? Which are them like and dislike? Which is the better bike and why? I mainly do week end trip from 200 to 400 km in a day, and the rest commuting. Thanks in advance

Sorry I didn't read this in time Personally having owned the Africa Twin I'd recommend that one. It's a brilliant long distance machine. Effortless riding but....the engine is very aggressive and viby as its a P-Twin. The tiger was smooth fun. Light and just an awesome machine. It's a hard one but if it was down to price and saving money...Triumph as its cheaper and the Africa Twin is depreciating heavily

Difficult and very subjective question haha...I'm a r ninet owner and have had the urge to get an ADV for a while now. Love the r ninet, but a recent multi day 3000km (1900 mile) the touring shortcomings were obvious. I only do 2 big multi day rides a year, the majority of my riding consists of the occasional 20min commute and the 1/2hr weekend blast. I've only sat on a tiger 900 but I've had a few hrs on a r1250gs and loved the wind protection and the riding position....but the price of the big GS is a bit much. To get to the point, would the tiger 900 keep a rider engaged and provide that all important excitement and eagerness to just go for a ride? Haha, sorry for the long question but would appreciate you view. Love your content btw

Thanks for the question Bryan. I absolutely love the R9T. What a bike!! That would definitely be in my dream garage. But back to your question. The tiger 900 gt pro.......I honestly loved every moment of riding that bike! 94hp... feels like it's actually got 120bhp! It shifts, it's very comfortable and made me want to ride more and more rather than park up and do pieces to camera.i found It more exciting to ride than my Africa Twin Adventure Sport. Its amazing valve for money. So yes, if i purchased one of these, I'd want to ride it more and more. I hope that helps.

Hey Bryan do check out the 1200 GT or Rally pro before you arrive on a decision you might find the 1200 Tiger more engaging than the 1250 GS and cheaper too✊✊

What colour would you go for? Is white a bad choice i.e. does it fade or scratch easily shown?

I’ve got a GT Pro lined up to purchase but my hesitation resides in what many reviews and moto-blogs refer to as wonky crankshaft vibrations. I’ve ridden both the old 800 and the new 850 and there’s clearly a different character; the 800 is much smoother (less engaging?) and the 850 is much more lumpy. The vibrations annoy a buddy of mine so much he’s considering selling the bike. Personally, I’m not sure. Aside from the wonky vibes, the overall design of 850/900 is much improved over the old 800. I’d love to hear the opinion of those who have ridden the 900 over at least a few months and 3000 kilometers. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback I personally didn't find any vibrations in the bike an issue. My Africa Twin is far more viby than the Tiger. Hopefully you enjoy it 🙂

Interesting. I’ve ridden the Honda (DCT) and the Triumph (as well as other bikes with a 270° crank) but the Tiger certainly has a more pronounced thudding shutter, especially around 4100 rpm. My buddy who owns the Tiger 850 has spent a lot of time and effort to rectify the issue and he seems satisfied most of the annoyance has been addressed. In September’s edition of UK’s Bike magazine they reference the, “ . . . lumpiness from the silly crank” - page 61. Many Triumph forms also rant about the vibration. That some think it’s a huge issue and others don’t makes me think it may be a production problem? Hope not, because intermittent production issues are much more difficult to address! Anyway, I’m still perched on the pre-purchase fence - but thanks for the reply!

13000km on a 900 GT Pro this year, including a 7000km, 15 day trip. There are some vibes in the area of ~5500RPM, but it's not enough to worry about in my opinion and I've had an awesome year with mine. It's handled unmaintained fire roads, aggressive twisties (Tail of the Dragon), and HEAVY rain all without problem (Anakee Adventure 80/20 tires). Awesome bike!

Hello - Thanks for very informative video. I have a question - Did you get the hot air blast from the radiator fan while driving? If yes, what are your thoughts on that? Thanks !!
@RevZolution
@RevZolution 10 месяцев назад
Thank you for watching and commenting. I can't say I noticed this at all. My current bike is the Kawasaki GTR1400 and that thing blasts hot air at you the whole time you ride. Its really uncomfortable. I had a GSXR750 and when the fan came on that blasted hot air at you as well. But the Tiger, didn't notice anything

Confirmed. My wife has the GT Aragon and noticed the same thing. Hotter than my Yamaha bolt air cooled twin she says. That being said, I cannot confirm because she won't let me drive it. She still loves it. The software is slightly buggy and it really needs map guidance over turn by turn only. Better yet, Android Auto or Apple car play.

Hello - I finally bought this bike. One question I have - Do you use regular unleaded petrol OR 91 octane (as per user manual) ?
@RevZolution
@RevZolution 9 месяцев назад
In the UK we can use either that our pumps offer.

From what I’ve been told from a Triumph mechanic a lot of these go on the second hand market once the warranty expires..any explanations as to why apart from the obvious expense of keeping it on the road and electrical issues.
@RevZolution
@RevZolution Год назад
sadly I have no idea, however I can imagine being new, most people buy them like other new bikes, ride them until warranty runs out and they are due their first MOT then hand them back for another new bike. The world of PCP

Good work mate, a couple of things. The tft is far from simple, the rev counter is over complicated and unnecessary, I get some will like it.The under-seat phone charger/storage is too much of a faf.. all bike have their bad points, maybe highlight a few. A good watch.

@@RevZolution Fair comment and I loved my 2017 Africa Twin. I don't remember the vibes being that bad but having ridden the prior Triumph triple in the 800 I had hoped the 900 would be as smooth. Perhaps the Africa Twin was given a pass due to the 270 crank firing order and I just ignored the vibrations at the time as I didn't expect smoothness? I think I may need to revisit the Tiger 900 and 1200 for that matter.
