The differential mounts are a weak spot for the TR6. They crack (especially the one on the right hand side) and cause troubles. Typical for this issue is a clunk that you can hear when changing direction (reverse to forward and vice versa) or even during acceleration or slowing down. So it is a good idea to reinforce the mounts during a restoration, but this can also be done on a complete car. It is just a little bit tricky, but it is doable.
