Weird, are they opening and closing or maybe getting stuck open when all bolted back in place. The reason I love 2 strokes. 😉 good luck pal

yep work fine, but no compression and it started is even more baffling

Mate I think it might be a sticky valve check that the valves are opening and shutting as they should mate can only be rings valves or the head is warped one side and not seating flat on the side of no compression baffling huh

all valves open and shut, can feel them when i took off the valve caps and turn the engine over and you can just see them through the spark plug whole , tried a steel rule across the head after filming and came out fine, no gaps

Possible scenario's...........tappet clearances incorrect, head gasket leaking ( you must anneal head gaskets, new or used, before fitting ),sticking valve/s in guides, incorrect torqueing of head ( noticed head bolts missing washers ),incorrect pushrod tube crush spec.

Are the pistons and barrels both brand new? If not are they within tolerance? If they are badly worn that will be why you have no or hardly any compression. When you say 75psi in one cylinder what is the actual figure given in the manual?

thanks Jonboy, barrels are original, pistons unsure as where with it when i got it and rings are new as old where broken, weird how it started though, psi should be 135 in each side

@@TheAmateurBikeBuilder ok so it sounds like they could be worn. Do you have any digital calipers where you can measure the internal bore of the barrels and the outside diameter of the pistons? Then you can take one measurement from the other and see if they are within tolerance according to the manual.
