As HM said just a kickstart you have to build the pressure specially with that long tube on gauge mate chin up😎👍

As i said to HM, i was kicking it for sometime but cut out from video as quite long and had a swearing fit as well

Remove plugs, poor some thinner oil into the pots, remove the side cover, fit a socket to the end crank pulley attached to a battery operated driver/drill, try build up pressure that way. Good luck

Thanks for the advice

Also check the release valve on the gauge mate make sure that’s not stuck open mate

all working fine, tried on another bike and worked

I would prefer oil. Assembly lube is when things are stored before startup. Listen to the "Dirty garage guy" (now days, "the Workshop") Yes, the swearing bastard 😁
@TheAmateurBikeBuilder
@TheAmateurBikeBuilder 2 года назад
Yes, maybe the wrong choice, as for The Workshop, i dont watch him

Check guage on another bike, check valve clearance or not sticking open

Thanks John, tried gauge on another bike and works fine, will be going back into check valves

Have you tried that pressure gauge on another bike mate the gauge might be capooooot 👍😎

That's exactly what I was thinking also.

Yes I have, tried it after filming and it worked, still rechecking everything

Not sure about using assembly lube on the rings during assembly as it’s quite sticky and could cause the rings to stick in. I know you said you measured the barrel bore but did you measure the piston diameter too? Are the valve clearances correct as well?
@TheAmateurBikeBuilder
@TheAmateurBikeBuilder 2 года назад
Yes, measured piston matches as standard size, will be rechecking clearances

Did you have full open throttle?, if not I don't think you will have any readings with only a kickstarter. Always fully open throttles when compression testing.

tried both ways, was kicking it for a while but cut out from video as quite long and had a swearing fit as well
@H-M-78

Ok. Is there a way to spinn the engine with a powertool?, check that. I guess it's very hard to get some build up and readings with a kickststarter and the compression tester you have.
@tfjack97

That really sucks mate, I think your compression garage might be a piece of you know what, try another gauge on it and spin it over. That is the strangest thing I have ever seen take it apart and put it back together and nothing. That's just unexplainable to me. Good luck with it, stay tuned for the next round. Hope that didn't sound like a smart a$$.

no not at all, appreciate the feedback, it helps me, its a new gauge, did check it on another bike and works fine, after some head scratching and a lot of swearing i will work it out, its got to be so simple
