My all-time favorite moment on 'Trivia Trap', namely seeing contestants win $10,000 on the Trivia Ladder, helped me to overcome my childhood fear of loud noises and started my fanaticism of 'The Price Is Right'.
Just like they do Family Feud, Tic Tac Dough, The Joker's Wild, BULLSEYE, The Better Sex and Bruce Forsyth's Hot Streak They has AWESOME Game Show Themes to clap to
It's the same studio where they had Family Feud w/the late great Richard Dawson and American Bandstand with the late great Dick Clark It's probably the same seats that they used on the show for audiences and even Mr. Clark used for the kids when he would introduce guests
T-Bone Hubbard Even though ABC during the 70s and 80s had the cheapest production values between them, CBS and NBC, they had the largest number of clappable game show theme songs. Trivia Trap, Family Feud, Bruce Forsyth’s Hot Streak, Match Game ‘90 (later in the run especially), All-Star Blitz (the show that replaced Trivia Trap and eventually took over Family Feud’s timeslot when the latter got cancelled in the Summer of ‘85), The Better Sex (particularly the series finale).
What I find weird is that Trivia Trap which uses computers on their set used Mechanical Credit Scrolls (much like fellow Goodson series Body Language and TPiR, the latter of which did until 1995 or 1996-ish) while Family Feud which doesn’t use as many computers like Trivia Trap does used Chyron/Computerized Credit Scrolls (much like Super Password) during this time period.
