You gotta do like a sword over damocles This album stands shoulder to shoulder with Shogun for me and I say that having loved their last two records a tonne, they're just getting better and better
I hope you do more from the album, mates. It's kinda disappointing that the reactors that got us into metal and especially Trivium are now focusing so much on generic metalcore songs, and completely blind to Trivium.
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 I'm glad to hear that. But in all fairness, this was not directed towards you. This was to those "elite" reactors on RU-vid. Honestly, it was because of their reactions that I got interested into Trivium last year, enough to get me deep diving into the entire discography. I listen to metalcore as well, even watch album reactions in the genre, but the disappointment comes because the enthusiasm these reactors now show for metalcore and deathcore releases, they once had for Trivium as well and have now lost it all.
Unfortunately Trivium reactions get far less views than these generic metalcore songs. There are only a handful People that react to Trivium despite having very little views because they love the music.
I can't choose a favorite between this one, The Shadow of the Abattoir and Fall into your Hands. The whole album is a step up from there few previous ones imo. Alsoooo, you gotta do the new Ink song Funeral Derangements!! its F.I.R.E.
Since the Alex Bent (drummer) came to the band they have reached a new level, this is the 3rd studio album with him and you feel like they are still peaking.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO THESE TWO 1) The Shadow Of The Abattoir 2) Fall Into Your Hands IMO those are the best two songs on the new album from Trivium, but top to bottom it’s 🔥🔥
That was indeed fucking exceptional, arguably their best stuff since shogun and the first 2 records with the accessibility of in waves as well. Definitely in contender for my AOTY
This song is the single best song Trivium has ever written. Yeah people will argue Shogun, In Waves etc but come on, be realistic, this song just stands so far above both of those
This album was nearly perfect imo for a metal fan, my only gripe is in the track order. I felt tracks 6 and 7 should have been swapped because 4 (Feast of Fire) was a bit of a slower track compared to Court and Sword. Then Crisis gets your blood pumping overdrive and after it's another slower song in Shadow which makes the song kind of feel strange since you (or I) are/am expecting something similar to Crisis...idk, this just makes a lot of sense in my head
About this music video... It's scenes from the new expansion of the elder scrolls online (mmorpg of the universe of skyrim) called Gates of Oblivion, and I guess this MAYBE is a soundtrack in somewhere in-game expansion (never played it, so I don't know the possibility of this become a soundtrack in-game)
I don't think it is, but now I wanna get on and try to see, or just find some sort of reference to trivium. I really hope they'll give us a painting of the album cover for our houses
