The ending makes so much sense because it's the finishing track on the album and it just gives you that huge epic feeling.

Apparently the orginal middle section of this song was the demo of torn between. So they basically kept the 1st and 3rd act relatively close to the original and redid the whole middle section here. This album is going to be amazing. Hope you do a whole album reaction. Cant wait!

Am I the only one that heard kirisute at around 3:12??? Go to the same time stamp in kirisute. Loved it then and loved it here too. The strings were ishan. Not sure if you were tracking Matt and ishans project but I guess he hooked them up from what I was reading. Also, I feel this is the reaction I’ve been looking for. I’ve showed like 5 people this song and I felt like a completely excited dog bringing their owner a dead bunny and getting scoffed at. Your reaction was my reaction the first time I heard this. Just epic!

Haven't listened to all of Trivium albums except for ther two last ones. And they are so amazing! I listened to What the Dead Men Say and I thought there's no way they beat this album and later they release In The Court of the Dragon and shut my mouth. Without a doubt Trivium is one of the greatest bands.

The Shogun really comes through in the riff at 6:27

Man, this song is SO GOOD! Anything Shogun related is fantastic. This album is definitely going to be another banger. I didn’t think that In the Court of the Dragon would be topped as the best single off the album, but this one is definitely on the same level. In fact, I’d even say I like this one the most out of all of the singles. Feast of Fire was ok. It wasn’t to me quite as epic as the other two on the first listen, but it’s decent. This, however, is on a completely different level. The solos, the drums, and the composition of their music is at one of its best points in their career. One thing that is under appreciated that we should give thanks to is the presence of the bass. The sound is so fat, and it really contributes to heaviness of these songs. It’s been a little bit since I listened to their earlier stuff, but I don’t remember the bass being quite as present in some of their previous albums like it is now. I’ll have to go listen to it again, but man, bassists are honestly under appreciated when it comes to their contribution for the heaviness of metal albums.

When this song dropped I was expecting another 7th string exclusive groove riff like most of their singles from the past 3 albums. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that main riff, albeit simple and straightforward, i missed that shit.

It's such a good song and I love that they did something with elder scrolls to go with it. I love Skyrim, I love Trivium and I thoroughly enjoy elder scrolls online so to hear this song fit so well with elder scrolls in just great
