Trivium - Dying in Your Arms (Guitar cover with solos)

This is an easy song by Trivium standards, but I had a request for it a while back. I just got this guitar (Washburn X50 Pro FE) for my birthday a couple weeks ago, so I was eager to record a song with it! It was set up with light strings from the factory, so I was limited to songs in E standard or drop D at the time, and this one fit the bill.
Yes, I pasted two takes together to save time, so you will notice a transition in the middle. It's annoying to play the entire song over and over again only to screw up something in the solo.
edlg42 made a nice tutorial for the solo in this song, and even though I transcribed it a bit differently than him, it's worth checking out.

- Drak - see don't tell yourself you can't do it. Always have faith in yourself and you'll be surprised how far you can get when you tell yourself and believe that you're capable ;)

The same note repeats immediately after when the melody is repeated again. I doubt this was an "error," and instead maybe just a misinterpretation.

HELL FUCKIN YEA This guy is DEFINITELY one of my fave Trivium covers. A 'killr'/dangerous dude he is indeed. Rarely misses a beat or articulaion. I've been playin/instrucing & transposing the better part of 30 yrs. Even I can learn from him/other sources. Buckeye is a true master player & a joy to listen and watch. Keep up the good work man. I know that most professional guitarists play with their thumb at the upper edge. But players move it to the top when doing a lot of vibrato (bending the strings)to keep sustain. But blues players use their thumb for playing the sixth string (Hendrix, Vaughn, etc) to makes things sound a lot better.

If you haven't I strongly suggest that you check them out, I suggest 'Living Dead Beat', well just listen to that song, it has cool leads and an awesome solo, so good the guitarist messes up a little of it on the record!

It's all different peoples opinions really :-) Call me soft and a wimp, but I like to understand some of the screaming, which is why I like COB's new stuff. Don't get me wrong they're old stuff did own too, but inaudible screaming vocals annoy me. But if you're into that sort of style thats cool.
