yeah exactly, many people will critic you if you use a 6 string because "it's not EXACTLY how Trivium plays it" but those people are slightly arrogant because in practice it's the exact same thing, you hit the same notes and can play the song exactly the same way

Just drop A#, they use A# Standard on a 7 string. The point of the 7 string is that u have an extra 5 or so higher notes that can be played but they don't play those extra 5 higher notes, so you can play every note they hit on a 6 string if u tune down to drop A#

Perfect guess, for my 6 string I use .12-.60 gauge, i also have the bridge set to being the most "stable" at around drop B, which is why it's harder for me to play songs that are in higher tuning such as drop D or even standard E

Ooo thats a tough one...My favorite artist to cover would have to be either Architects or Wage War because their music isn't extremely technical to the point that it isn't fun to play but it also isn't too simple so it's not boring to play. Overall both bands are very heavy and my original music has very similar influences to them which is why I always enjoy covering them :)
