how did the ekta mk2 speakers turn out?

@@golfhead54 ils ce sont révélé plutôt difficile à contrôler avec l’event a l’arrière ! Je suis passé d’un sugden ia4 à un accuphase p4100 pour plus de contrôle dans les basses. Après prise de mesure avec un micro de calibration umik les graph révèlent une grosse bosse à 60hz… ma piece ou les enceintes je ne sais pas trop🤷‍♂️. J’utilise un eversolo dmp a8 avec le dsp actif, courbe de rééquilibrage injecté dans le dsp et tout est okay maintenant 👍🏼! J’ai les sba 941 avec les tweeters béryllium, si tu a la place je te les conseille par rapport au ekta! Peut etre le bass reflex sur la face avant aurait ete profitables au ekta si jamais vous vous lancez dans le projet.

@@paulmunoz54 denafrips pontus or termy works good though I am using the pontus here because Termy sound well with my other system.

Hi to my ears the big difference is the bass while the high is a little bit more lush bit just a little bit than ekta and mid are just the same. This is what i am looking for anyway a speaker that sounds like ekta but with more powerful bass. Thanks

Hi mate, sorry i have not done any measurements but what i can say based on my experience is that it can really go low and the sound is still great.

@@asedillo1 thanks for the quick reply. May I ask: what made you make 2 models and how would you describe the differences? I have been looking at his page for ages but I cannot decide between all the options. One day I think a 3WC must be the one to go, then I am not willing to get another pair of nice stands and think why not make a floorstander... And a few days later I wanna go with a nice 2 way stand mount because it's easier to build and maybe even better for small rooms. Maybe you can tell me a bit about the differences between the two. Thanks!

@@PeterPan-lx1zb SBA has better bass IMO while ekta mkII have better mid to my ears. Now with the new 741 I can get a better bass with good mid. All of them sounds great. I am using ekta to my smaller room. SBA to my other entertainment room which I use for nearfield listening.

Hi mate, thanks for watching. I prefer the 7741 in all aspects now. On first few hours of using it, the bass is already the obvious improvement but the mids are not too great yet until it fully breaks in. I remember having the same thing with ekta when i first built it, it took quite some time for it to fully open up.
