Stage 4 was like an international viewpoint of commuting to work in America: driving your clowncar to work amongst a hail of bullets amongst a sea of insipid folk who randomly lash out and toss their trash out en route.

Part way through I noticed on his hat one of the buttons flickering and i thought somehow he had a thing that showed his button presses on his hat but really it was the green button interacting with the green screen situation.

Looked like a possible cheese route on stage 4 before you switch clown cars at the beginning with a gap in the roof.
