Yeah, this sound is really amazing. Actually, Vilnius is the last city in the Baltic states using these old Škoda trolleybuses. However, they will be replaced by new ones by 2025, so I made this video because this will soon become history :)
Unfortunately during 2024, the first 20 of these vehicles will be going for scrap as they will be replaced by brand new SOR TNS 12 vehicles from SOR Libchavy in the Czech Republic. I will heavily miss these vehicles, and I plan to make a video on my channel as a tribute to their years of service. Rest in peace Skoda 14TR! 1984-2026
Yeah, it's sad a little bit that Škoda 14Tr/15Tr trolleybuses will disappear in a few years. By the way, some of these vehicles don't have new validators, so I think they will be going for scarp during this year. This also applies to one of the Amber 12AC (MAZ-203T) trolleybuses.
@@BelarusianAndEuropeanTransport I managed to get a ride on the amber 12ac only recently. They are very poorly constructed, continuously dewiring and stuff. I honestly hope they get replaced alongside the 14Trs.
