I am sorry to see Kokanee at Crain Prairie I guess I am old school. When I fished it many years ago it had Rainbow and Brown trout then Large Mouth Bass were introduced which we tolerated. Kokanee were in other Century Drive lakes. Now they apparently are the premier fish in Oregon.
Nice video and fish. maybe try a clip on weight instead of the split shots. I use those on my kayak and can reel the fish right to the boat after I take them off.
I also like clip weights. I have been using them for years. I much prefer them over sliders and other methods divers etc! In 10-15ft of water I prefer the split shot, small, easy, and no need to take anything on or off. If I am trying to fish deeper than 20ft I go with clip weights. Thanks and tight lines!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--zc7bLYoVMo.htmlsi=-ZNpSRIRqxytezxb
I'm going to be taking my 88 year old dad camping in that area for Fathers day weekend. Do you think the kokanee will still be active in a month? We're camping at Wikiup. I though if we didn't have any luck there we could try Crane Prairie.
@@Fishnmoreoutdoors wow that is awesome you are so helpful. thanks!! we need more people like you in the fishing world. :) turns out we aren't going to that area after all, though, he wants to go to Anderson Ranch in Idaho. Thanks again for your willingness to help out!!
Another great video. We were there Friday and Saturday and we are no strangers to the place but holy smokes the wind really ripped up! One Koke and lots of rainbows and Brookies. Thanks for the info
