Good info, thanks! I just bought this motor today from Amazon and it arrives in 2 days. Should be a nice step up from my 20yr old Minn Kota 28! 😁

I've had mine about 10yrs. I just stepped up to the 62lb thrust, should be here today

I like mine except no change in speed between 4 and 5 setting. On a 14 foot Bris inflatable with 35 amp hour deep cycle battery that is kept charged with a small solar panel (motor used for only about 15 minutes at a time). Waiting for instructions from NV about no change in 5th.

what's the maximum ah battery you can use or have used? and how long did it last on speed 3? great little review this motor is catching my eye, well done.

I use a 12v marine battery. I'm usually on the water 4-6hr with no issues. Not sure how to answer your speed question. If it's windy I'll use speed 1 or 2 to keep the boat steady rather than drop anchor. Other times I run it on 5. I reckon I've had my trolling motor nearly 7yrs. I just ordered a 62lb thrust and waiting for it to arrive any day now

im going to get this motor for a 7x4 ft dinghy fiberglass. I would like to a say 3 or 4 hours run time at 50 percent speed. Any Idea on what battery you would use for 3 or 4 hours at 50% speed or what you use now and your run time?. I am look at Im thinking lipo4 battery. Thank you

I currently use a Interstate Deep Cycle Marine Battery and it has done well for years. I've also used a Continental Deep Cycle Marine and this year I'm going to try a LIPO and see how it does. I've never run 50% ... Unless slow trolling lol. Battery lasts as long as I need and has never left me stranded (unless I forget to charge it lol) I've switched from a 55lb thrust to 62lb for my 16ft flat bottom. The 55 lasted probably 10yrs. Works on high and rvs in the water, out of the water all speeds work. Not worth tearing apart again... I'll just gift it to someone 🙂

Do you have to charge the battery every time your done fishing for the day?

Depends on your battery and the speed you run the motor on. Typically, I keep my battery fully charged, It's not necessary every time you fish but it's a pain in the butt when battery dies and you're on the other side of the lake with only 1 paddle lol.

16ft John Boat... not sure of the weight but in this video we had 3 adults in the boat.
