@@assassin-2020 People play those decks, but they tend to use a large spell when they do, and the decks aren't nearly as popular as the easy damage archetypes. The three decks you brought up usually use lightning or fireball, and if they can't break through they just spam spells directly on the tower. My point was that this guy's playing a deck without an easy damage win condition OR a medium/large spell to spell cycle with, and having some success with it. My irritation with the meta is also demonstrated by the battle shown in this video, where he loses by 1 tower health with most of Eragon's damage being dealt by spell cycling. In my eyes, Armin deserved to win because he pushed through and made smart plays on offense and defense to get and prevent damage, but he lost because Eragon spammed the unavoidable damage cards at his tower, which has no counterplay and is no fun. That's not to say that Eragon didn't play well, because they both did, but I don't like how most decks these days can completely give up on the win condition and rely on spell damage to win a bad matchup.

@@augustdruzgal475 what smart plays, he made the same braindead push 30 times, not changing it up at all. This takes less skill as he's only got to make identical placements. Also, most lava decks only have fireball if at all for a big spell and aren't able to spell cycle because of slow cycle. Giant decks never tend to have a big spell at all and there are plenty of no medium or big spell golem decks too. If all the guy can do is make 1 braindead push the whole game, that ain't skill
