ngl, that was actually really funny, and made me actually check if i was subscribed... i am now but seriously those are kinda annoying when done regularly
@@CreamerOfTheDairySquad fair enough but my point is he had 2 Pokemon that are famously ripped apart by hazards - and are this equally famous for their appreciation of heavy duty boots - and didn't run heavy duty boots on either
The "can you stop?" still has me cracking up. Like the guy came here to fight, and instead just watches garbage pile higher and higher on his side of the arena
Watching someone's whole team brought low by Whirlwind of all moves brings a rare but profound joy to my heart. Volcarona getting so much damage on entry is music to my ears. And that Murkrow part was insanely OP, never saw that coming. Professional Pokémon Showdown players have most definitely been studying the ways of UNO, Monopoly, and Among Us. Because these four games are the four horsemen of bringing suffering to all gamers.
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate the “It’s not over ye-“ *Murkrow used Whirlwind* “Oh. It’s over.” Never before has a Murkrow KO’d three Pokémon with one move.
2:18 pretty sure a Bug/Ice Type would instantly die from that. Since it’s 4x weak to stealth rock, 2x week to pointy steel, that’s already 75% damage, then 25% from spikes, and toxic takes the last 1 hp if it has odd hp.
@@survivorofthecurse717 yes it does, normally stealth rocks is 12.5% and something weak to rock takes 25% and something 4x weak takes 50%. And pointy steel works the same, with it being a steel type hazard. The only damage that’s fixed is spikes, which do either 1/8 1/6 or 1/4 depending on how many layers.
@NocturnalPyro That makes more sense for the spikes. Also, Volcarona is bug/fire, not bug/ice. So Stealth Rock dealt 50%, spikes 25, steel spikes 6% and toxic damage for the turn ending 6% If it was bug/ice, it would die instantly from steel spikes, spikes, and Stealth rock
Including the hazards while talking about the 33 percent was priceless. Volcarona be like: "🕸☣🗿THIS IS FINE🗿☣🕸". Can't help but think of this as the Obi-Wan and Anakin duel as a Pokémon battle, "It's over, Xiriak. I have the high ground!" "You underestimate my power- *never mind, GG."* Xiriak challenged a player with CYNTHIA as their character...it was already over before it even began. But at least they weren't toxic to Temp about losing, they just accepted they couldn't counter the OP strategy. Kudos to them.
An OHKO is actually possible, but not on Volcarona. Snom and Frosmoth: 50% Rocks, 25% Steel, 25% Spikes Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetales: 25% Rocks, 50% Steel, 25% Spikes Amaura and Aurorus: 25% Rocks, 50% Steel, 25% Spikes This, though, requires the Pokémon listed above to have an HP number divisible by 4; otherwise, since Pokémon does not work with broken damage numbers and it rounds damage down, a Pokémon with an odd-number worth of HP would take -1 damage (compared to what it should have) from all of Rocks, Spikes and Steel, surviving with 3 HP, while an even, but not divisible by 4 number worth of HP would have the Pokémon take the proper 50% damage from the 4x weakness, and yet -1 damage worth on the Spikes and the other 2x weakness, surviving with 2 HP.
" Thats so Overpowered " *Defog:* " You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me. " *Rapid Spin, yelling from afar:* " Hey guys?! I'm here too!! Hello?! "
And this is why you always have a Defogger/Rapid Spin and a Poison Pokemon on your Team. To avoid such devastation that was completely your intention. Amazing video and showcase.
Temp6t, thanks for these videos man. they are so hilarious to watch. I've been far removed from pokemon since gen 3 and never really got to experience much of the other gens and the competitive side of Pokemon but it's great to watch them from this perspective, keep it up bro. 👍
I remember doing something like this to a roommate on college with Salamence in B/W I think. Roar, Sleep Talk, Rest, Dragon Tail. The rage and shock was so memorable 😂
Thanks to you i ran into this build on Showdown. Hilarious but excruciating to fight. Managed to win only because i killed the Drapion before he could get the second spikes out
Back when I was super into showdown, this was my strat except I had a Smeargle with Spore, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes, and Spikes holding leftovers or red card.
Switching pokemon every turn with an entire minefield, a spider web and three hundred kilograms of nuclear waste on your side of the field is a 3 million IQ move
You can 1 shot a pokemon simply by entering if all entry hazard is in play, but only for these 3 typing: Ice+Bug, Ice+Flying, Ice+Rock, and Ice+Fairy. Note, said flying type needed to be gounded before entry hazards can effect them. They are: Snom, Frosmoth, Articuno, Delibird, Hisuian Avalugg, Amaura, Aurorus, and Alolan Ninetails. If you managed to set up all entry hazard along with gravity, have athe combination of 6 pokemon from the list above, add that to prankster murkrow with sleep talk and whirlwind? You can kill the entire team by switching without them being able to do anything, assuming htey dont have heavy duty boots that is...
Him saying "oh its over" got abruptly cut off by an ad for a local restaraunt with a girl saying "It's not over yet!" and I laughed a little harder than I should have.
I love how the guy didn't even seem upset by the end of it. After his Volcarona was nuked, he was like "okay yeah, sure, guess this might as well be happening."
