ET sat down with the ladies of 'Troop Beverly Hills' as they hit the 30-year milestone of the iconic film. Exclusives from #ETonline : • NEW From Entertainment...
Honestly, one of the best 80s comedies of all time. So quotable! Who can forget the iconic "It really frosts my cookies...!" Or the "HE PERMED ME!" scene.
As a blacc valley girl in the 80s this movie was my EVERYTHING!! Yaaaassss Ms. Shelly!! I wanted to be Tasha soooooo bad!! She could SANG and was rich!! Love Love Love this movie!!!
As a child of the 80’s I absolutely love this. Still a fan of this great 80’s comedy. One of the few coming of age movies for girls in the 80’s. I cannot believe they didn’t comment on the irony of Tori Spelling making fun of the other troop because they’re from Beverly Hills. Then a few years later she was one of the main stars of the tv series Beverly Hills 90210 😋. Now I want to watch the movie again 😊
Also i think in irl she's from BV since she's a Spelling/born with a silver spoon/her daddy's rich. But last time I heard she only got little or ran out of her inheritance money because she had/has a rough relationship w/ her parents.
I still love that movie and I’m 41 yrs young!! I actually have it on dvd and my sons yes my sons watch it all the time.. Their favorite part is “ let leave her then” when velda hurts her ankle. They find that part so hilarious!! Happy 30th
Omg I'm so old but they dont make movies like that anymore! That was my mother and I go to girlfriend day movie! ❤❤❤ I cant wait to watch it with my daughter!
I remember when my sister took me and dragged me into the movies to see this and I hated her turned out I love this movie so much I forced my parents to get it on VHS or I wasn’t going to school. 30 years later this movie still one of my favorites of all time.
As a gay boy growing up in the 90s, I cannot tell you how formative, special, and close to my heart this movie is. I think from how popular it is within the gay community, that sentiment rings true for lots of little boys who felt a closeness and wanted to be alongside these fab women and girls and were empowered! Gay men have been for so long inspired and empowered by the stories of strong women/girls succeeded despite the odds stacked against them. I think it speaks to gay boys and men relating, in their own way, to the stories of women and stigma/long-held sociopolitical disadvantages faced by females and things that are “feminine.” No way trying to equivocate the struggles of women to gay men-but there’s an undeniable pattern of love, admiration, and comradery shared by gay boys and men to strong women that has shown itself throughout history. Think about how many gay boys love and identify with Ariel, Belle and other Disney leads... and let us not forget our obsession with divas in music and film! All this to say-GREAT movie and reunion, took me back to a simpler time. This movie never got the praise it deserved at the time, but glad to see it’s still a cult classic 30 years later. Thank you to ALL the amazing women who continue to inspire leagues of little girls and gay boys/boys with their stories and power! (So sad Jenny Lewis, my musical hero and child-acting ICON, not in this reunion-but she’s touring her brand new album (On the Line) currently... gonna see her Sunday in Houston! If you only know Jenny as the cute redhead spitfire from this movie, The Wizard, and Golden Girls-check out her solo music and music with her indie band Rilo Kiley... she’s a songwriting genius with a killer voice and presence. Her new album is amazing, but a great intro jumping-off point for newbies are “portions for foxes” and “Silver Lining” by Rilo Kiley and “Rise Up With Fists,” “Just One of the Guys,” and “Head Underwater” from her solo career. Also, watch the music video for “She’s Not Me” for adorable Troop Beverly Hill homages featuring Vanessa Bayer from SNL playing Phyllis!!!)
This really made my day . This was a feel good movie for me as a young abused child and it was a movie I watched to escape . I really enjoyed seeing these young ladies all grown up and reunited with Shelley . My hero’s
I LOVED this movie when I was younger and would watch it over and over again every time it would air on TV, which was all the time back then! I can't believe it's been 30 years. I'm so glad that they did a reunion for this
My mom and I saw this in the theater. Seeing how many actresses got their start in this film is cool. Also, I have been a Shelley Long fan since she was on Cheers and she is so funny is this film. Beverly Hills what a thrill!
They don't make movies like Troop Beverly Hills anymore that's for sure good wholesome family fun and entertainment but the hint of sass now those were the days
every time I say "this is fabulous, just fabulous"...I quote it just like Jasmine does when they spend the night at the Beverly Hills Hotel and the next morning Jasmine imitates Phyllis and says, "look Hannah, I'm your mother....follow me girls, this is faaaabulous, just fabulous".
Omg this use to be one of my favorite movies as a child. As a matter of fact my daughter and I just recently watched this movie together and she loved it. But I still can't believe it's 30 years old. Now I feel old too.😂 Classic movie!
Troop Beverly Hills was one of the best movies of the 80s. This reunion would’ve have been more complete if Ami, Carla, Emily, and Jenny showed up too! I hope they’re still proud of the legacy that Troop Beverly Hills left behind!
My friend Stephanie's daughter is in her 3rd year of Girl Scouts (she is currently 7 almost 8) and she LOVES Troop Beverly Hills. She has seen it a lot.
Troop Beverly Hills played constantly in my parents home. It was and still is one of my Dad‘s favorites and it’s one of mine as well. Brings back fond memories of my childhood..
The part when Velda showed the pictures to Frances Temple, pointed to Phyllis dancing and said " This woman is a complete degenerate" cracks me up everytime.
This is one of my favorite childhood movies, very good very funny and very wholesome still watch this movie from time to time.......All the ladies look amazing 😉
I saw this on cable TV when I was younger, and it's such a memorable movie! I'm a fan from the Philippines. I just love.. love this! It's like a perfect Saturday morning movie way back 🥹
A cult classic! Makes me remember the good ol days my sister's and I watching this many many times. I just wana go back and forget all my responsibilities!
There are a number of iconic films out there that bombed in first run. That is to say that, like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, they never rolled over and played dead. This is one of them.
Amazing 😭❤️😩 I just remembered this movie yesterday n now have watched it 4 times since then n have it on now. Omg COOKIE TIME I WANTED TO CRY TEARS OF JOY I USED TO LOVEEEE SINGING THAT SONG
@@maddymud she’s big everywhere! I don’t think there’s a single live date that didn’t sell out. Hasn’t put out a single bad record, though the voyager is my personal favorite.
I absolutely love this movie and now have it on DVD. As I was also a Punky Brewster fan, I'm sad Ami Foster wasn't there. Betty Thomas directed John Tucker Must Die which is also a favorite!
and I get this 2 years to late!?!?! How fun! I've always laughed at Tori Spelling, laughing and making fun of Troop Beverly Hills, then playing a main character in Beverly Hills 90210
