It's wonderful seeing kids taking part in their own cultures like this. That's how the cultures are kept alive. Passed from one generation to the next. Lovely.
My 6 yr old grandson is only just now learning to dance, drum n sing. He loves watching these videos n learning from his dad. Our traditions n languages cannot be lost. We all save that through n for our children. Awesome video.

Each one of them unique in their regalia and dance. I always find it hard to single out " the best" when they dance so beautifully with all their hearts and everything in them. They are all to be commended. But that little one sure is cute!!
Watching this warms my heart. This should remind us all that no matter what ethnicity is represented though their dance or songs we are privileged to be able to bear witness. Passing down to their children to assure these jewels of their identity and culture are never lost to the passage of time.

Yes they are honoring the dancers.. I'm not sure how other Tribes do it but in my dad n moms Tribes (Salish n Spokane Tribes) after the ppl lay money at the dancers feet like that its all gathered up n given to our Elders.

I loved watching this so much. I am Nahuatl or Aztec, but I feel kinship with with all North American natives. I live in New Mexico where the big pow wow is and let me tell you, it is an amazing thing to attend. All these southwestern native tribes to me are all Mexican Nahuatl, it was just a border line that was moved. These are my people, too. You go little buddy, you wear that regalia with pride, show everyone the kind of people you came from. Show us your strength and courage, honor your ancestors, you are a shining star and I am proud to consider you a brother!

It’s great to see the children participating in their cultural heritage, this little guy definitely is proud of his heritage, he has such enthusiasm and keeps up with the rhythm ….keep it going, heritage and culture, traditions such as this needs to be saved and so does the teaching of these dances saved and passed down through generations. I’ve been to many powwows and loved watching everyone dance and was invited to join in…I felt like I was at home, I was welcomed into a tribe and given an honorary name. I Am home…👍🙏🏼❤️

Little Tiny is smashing it out there! I'm glad so many young kids were involved in this dance. All the kids looked fantastic and were dancing well. It was lovely to see the girls in their jingle dresses too.

Why is this not danced in all Canadian schools ? I’m from Europe and I would love to try it out, always thought that immigrating to Canada will expose me more to native culture, I would love to see it everywhere

It's good to see native American people passing their traditions down to the next generation I'm not an Indian but I was married to one for 16 years and I still miss her every day luckily for me our daughter is just like her with a little me in the mix and I'm proud of the woman she has become I'm also blessed with a granddaughter who is a lot like her grandmother and she has blessed me with great grandson and a Great granddaughter I know how proud my wife would be
