Well compiled video, I know how hard it is to capture the day and atmosphere..... but you did it beautifully, from an ex Guardsman ..... thanks for the memories.
There are many videos on RU-vid about the Trooping of the Colour and it’s various rehearsals, this is one of the better ones, and I’m still surprised at the number of viewers who still seem to think the Household Division is a purely ceremonial unit and others have to remind them that the Household Division is comprised of front line soldiers.
This is a really great video. I’m getting to see and hear things that I never had before. One question though. And this is by no means a criticism. I’ve seen videos when a band is passing horses they soften their playing in deference to the horses. I wonder what the horses think when the band is sitting on top of them.
