Thanks for the video! This is good info and very helpful to make a decision. Definitely going to look at a Trophy home in DFW soon and will let you know how it goes! 😬
How would you rate the quality of these homes? Price seems to good to be true for Mckinney. Any concerns with no major roads connecting it to Mckinney proper? On the map, I see it branches off to a much smaller road. Unlike, Trinity falls there was a major road connecting it to McKinney proper. Additional question, why is a better buy - TriPointe/Perry/Highland home in Painted tree for 480K or EastRdige, Mckinney for 480K? Pros and cons?
So far from what ive seen i think their quality is good. They are using solid materials and giving clients a home that they love. Their design is unique so it stands out. As far as the Mckinney thing I think connection will come in time. You have 380 that runs through there. So buying in a community up there is getting in early before it really develops around you. Which that route can lead to long term gains since you are first into the neighborhood. Thats probably part of the trade off in terms of price> Painted tree is going to be a massive development in Mckinney, that will have several ammenities and a higher HOA I believe. So thats where you have to weigh out personally what you want in a community vs price vs HOA vs Location. As far as quality goes Perry/Highland have both been building in DFW for years and I am always a fan of their quality and craftsmanship. Best thing would be for us to get some time in both communities ask questions and eliminate tournament style. Send me a text or Email and lets set something up to talk in further detail
@@zakschmidt-DallasTXrealestate thank you. I will go to the community and see for myself soon as. I missed it last time I was there. What popular builder would you compare their quality to?
@@M0stBlunt3d I would compare trophy with a Mertitage or even like a history maker or tri-point. let me knw when you go and if i can i will meet you out there
everything these days seems to be junk, if I ever did new again I'd hire a contractor/inspector to weekly show up and before every step babysit them. We barely have a straight or level floor
hey i am currently a painter for this company, beautiful homes to be honest, been a painter for about 4 years and I’m trying to step up in the game, moving to different work positions etc, any tips? currently 20yrs old and highly motivated to keep growing
Awesome. Keep putting in the great work and working to get your name out there. Im Glad they are hiring quality painters. Keep Crushing! Thanks for hanging out.
Trophy built our house at Edgestone in Frisco. Charged nearly 1 million. Absloutly terrible job. Terrible quality. They cut corners at every aspect of the build. Didn't insulate the kitchen walls and all the cabinets are now molding. We also had many issues with the AC unit not cooling and were told that is normal. Finally got an independent HVAC company that told us that they put in a much smaller unit than the house needs to cut cost. Will be suing them.
We are too from edgestone with trophy. Even I see not good quality . We find window water leaks. We already raised the issue but it’s been like 2 months (before 1 yr warranty). No response from them
@madamanchisowjanya7404 yes unfortunately this seems to be a common issue. We have looked past the cheap finishes (door knobs, light fixtures, closets... etc) but now mold is growing all over the cabinets and the house never cools properly.
have the AC checked for fan speeds and leaks, especially if Airtron installed it. It's probably set up wrong blowing way too fast and short cycling.@@AmroAlsaid
have the foam depth checked in the attic, ours was 2 inches too shallow, you shouldn't see any rafters. They actually did have it fixed, but after the fact so who knows what was missed.
Do we have an opportunity to report to anyone if the builder does not build with product like (carpet) or mismatch the product what they have promised.
I think they are very similar. You will often see them paired together in the same developments especially here in North Texas. For me I think it comes down to style preference. If you want more modern then trophy, if you want a little less modern then go Meritage. Both do well with finance incentives and lending credits.. which communities are you consdering?
Best best would be talk to the sales person, and reference your contract. Selections should be in the contract. But also there is probably provisions in the contract that covers if material is unavaible, they can change without notice unfortunately.
trophy is not in houston yet. but there are some other great builders in the area. send ,me an email at zak.schmidt@exprealty.com and we can get you moving in the right direction. Talk soom!
Trophy homes are beautiful, but the builder will make you so frustrated. They take a lot of shortcuts that they leave up to you to fix, and the HOA they set up is ridiculous. For example, they plant tree that will grow to 50', but you get fined if you don't keep them trimmed to 15'. They plant crepe myrtles, the largest variety, but you have to keep it 4'. I hate I brought from them. They also retain some homes and rent them out. Check the rental rate.
2 years almost and still dealing with the crap workmanship and them deflecting and lying through the whole warranty process. They were booted from Prairie Ridge development.
