A cat 1 is an inconvenience on the FL Gulf Coast. Nearly 5 years ago, WE had a direct hit by a CAT 5 hurricane at landfall. It leveled nearly everything including the trees. As a native of FL, I am changed forever. Count your blessings because it could be much worse.
We experienced a cat 4 hurricane a couple years ago that killed 20 from flooding. We are used to worse hurricanes. Anyone who lives on the gulf is used to torrential hurricane weather.

And y'all still haven't a clue where landfall will be. It's one of those tricky storms - nothing definitive can be predicted. Good luck folks. I left Galveston to Washington State four days ago, knowing this was going to do what it's doing, regardless the ambiguous predictions.
I thought my Kansas tornado storm radar maps looked scary - until I looked at the RADAR maps for hurricanes. Those incoming pathway maps just don't bear the same level of ferocity. 0_o
me and my dad and his cousins and uncles put in the hurricane resistant power line from matamoros mexico to houston in 1993 when iowa was the 6th great lake. i'm inter3ested to see how it holds up considering even all the way into to harlingen the ground is nothing but ocean pure sand and the footings went put into bed rock just 28-36' deep concrete foundational holes. i expect the footings to be fine. but a cat 4 or more i expect the hollow poles to fold over or snap off after day 3
Our taxes already went up from that giant tax cut to people and corporations who needed it least. That was back in 2017, I can probably find some clips where the guy who did it is pimping himself. The provisions that initially gave most of us a tax cut expired, leaving our taxes higher than they were prior to the legislation. Do me a favor don’t respond to this directly, did I really ask that? Instead reply with a “what about this”, launch into a personal attack, or just ignore and share your wisdom on other Weather videos.

I truly hope Texans are paying attention to what Abbott and the other republicons they claim are working for them will do after this storm, how many of them will remain silent, who will refuse to answer questions about rebuilding and will count how long it will take to get power back up before the 100+ degrees strikes again.

Why would you need help? This isn’t a big deal right? This happens all the time, in my life hurricanes have always hit Texas, it’s summertime too duh and it floods at the beach. There’s nothing new here. I don’t think there’s gonna be any problem at all, and everyone should be able to take care of it themselves, I mean, if you don’t have money saved up, it’s your fault, right.

The Texas state government should also arrest any federal law enforcement operating within the state of Texas. Texas should also blockade the Texas / Mexico border. Texas state government should remove Biden from the ballot as he is mentally unfit for office under the 25th Amendment. The Texas state government should cut off sending agriculture, natural gas, and oil to blue states.

this hurricane has been drawing cold and moisture from above minnesota since before it hit jamaica it changed the flow of wind from west to east to north to south and then about 7 days ago it changed the wind to east to west for the entire week then friday it started to pull north to south again and the moisture content at angels 15,000 to angles 40,000 went thru the roof cuasing little coastal type (angels 5,000-7,000) puffs of soldier marching clouds to turn into monster mezo cumulous nimbus that adjoined into hurricane sized monster cells to the dakotas border and on over wisconsin on each side of me. saturday night was the biggest i've ever seen in a few years as it filled the entire horizon from canada down to nebraska an hour before sun set it cut the sun out completely. last time i saw a storm even 1/10 as big as that was a der echo that flattened iowas farm fields with just downforce wind
