Helene is officially in the Caribbean with tropical storm force winds. But this cyclone will intensify quickly into a hurricane and make its way towards Florida.
@@kmadrid9689 Yeah, very high, if you can get it at all. My homeowners insurance in Florida is reasonable, though I don't need flood coverage. Less than $2k per year. It's just the knuckleheads who live on the water that pay the price.
They always pick a higher number to get people to take notice. It will hit Tallahassee as a cat 2 or 1. It is fast moving so damage will occur but could be worse if it sits in the area. It is the sustained winds that cause damage. Because the trees will take the wind but if the winds continues for a long time the trees will give way then. This is a fast moving storm. Tallahassee will lose power and may have some roof damage. But this is no Katrina. Stay safe. Destin and Panama City Beach will have rain. They are on the West of it which is safe. You don't want to be on the West.
I noticed you didn't need to bend over, get all twisted up, perform all sorts of contortions to report the weather. Your peers should raise their weather maps a tad.
hope the weather cells dont catch up to the hurricane when it gets in the gulf they are still over the western part of the waters that wood b bad really bad
