The middle of September looks best for tropical wave and storm development. The 200 hPa Velocity Potential values show favorable conditions for systems coming off of the African coast. The 200 hPa Velocity Potential values did well signaling surpressed tropical activity for the middle and later part of August.

Models keep pushing time frames further and further back for development it might be close to mid-september before we get a named storm😂😂😂😂 at the rate we're going I don't see us barely making an average season one forecaster said it's due to climate change the upper atmosphere is so hot you're not getting those cold Cloud tops to make these big thunderstorms in the Atlantic to explode into hurricanes just everything is blah seems like everything Fizzles out

Hello David. Sorry to hear that this will be the last "tropical update" until further notice, but can understand why. Very quiet indeed, but it is always "calm" before the storm. The "outcast" says there is a low chance of development in the next 14 or so days; well they can be wrong. I do hope you continue to monitor the tropics(as Im thinking you will). Whatever is built by man, something can always go wrong with it!! Thanks

I’ve read that the unusually high Saharan dust has lowers the temps in the tropical Atlantic. Stuff is just not developing quickly.
