Tropico 2 was a very different type of game. But I think if you're enjoying you time with Tropico 6, you'll figure it out soon!

Honestly, each of these missions take about 3-5 hours normally, plus if you need to restart once, maybe twice. That all sounds about right. It ended up taking me about 70 hours to beat all 13(?) missions.

Awesome! Not sure why this Tropico series has gotten so many hits, but I appreciate it! I probably need to get around to doing some of the other Tropico missions as well.

FYI, I'm a brand new player, and am jsut barely watching your videos! They've been super helpful so far

I'm not sure what is going on there, check out the map modes to make sure the Raw Resources are being made properly. For each, does the rum factory have sugar in the factory? Also, keep an eye on how many workers you have, and if they are educated enough to fill the work slots, I think factories need slightly more educated workers. You might have too many productions buildings, spreading your work force too thin. Ultimately there isn't really any way for me to answer with certainty since I can't see your game! Good luck.

I'm not sure if this applies to your question and I realize it's been a long time...but are your buildings fully employed?. And also check to see if each building has a way of increasing it's production. It seems this scenario benefits better when getting things done quickly

Sadly, I don't really know what could cause that. Might just need to verify the files with Steam or even re-install the game entirely. This is just the tutorial mission, it shouldn't be giving you issues like that. Do you also not have any trees if you try to play mission 2 or open a sandbox game?

@@KRX_ I can't advance to the second level to test it because it requires me to build a coconut harvester. The game won't allow it because there are no trees to build near. I tried playing custom. Same issue. No trees exist in my game. Uninstall and reinstall did no good. Same issue. Thanks for the reply.

Well this is just episode one, I think the pirates do attack eventually and we probably dealt with them accordingly? Keep in mind, this is also the tutorial mission! I don't remember the specifics, but you should be able to just follow the tutorial instructions and get this one completed.

I agree it's not a great intro mission!

uh oh! Well sometimes a quick start can get you going on a better path. Most of the Tropico missions require some trial and error!
