I can tell you have a G3 Sportsman cammo boat. I just got mine 2 days before father's day.... already tricking it out with custom removable trolling T-bars and same for Crappie bow T-bars. Made some boat guides for trailer. TIP...BIG TIP, .......... learned something valuable from a old timer. Got a hitch receiver that dropped the front end of my trailer 4 inches. Now my boat goes on the trailer so much easier.
I see them catfish hanging in the background I take it you bled them fish. The guy filleting excellent job when filleting down toward the bottom of the tail i always flip them over and continue taking the fillet off of the skin excellent way of doing it 👍. So where is the how to build the trot line video. What hooks do y'all use
If you’ll put your catch in a ice chest with lots of water and aeriation you can get them home alive and healthy. Put them in a kiddie pool with an air stone and aquarium pump. Keep them for a week or so in that clean water, they’ll taste a lot better.
Hey there, thank you for the comment and question. Running them between two clumps of concrete blocks is probably more solid thsn tying to a tree. Actually, they will be there a lot longer than that tree will be. We use both, but these lines were all sunk with blocks.
Hi Mike - thanks for the comment and question. Unfortunately, we never got around to making another trotline video or a catch/cook. We definitely need to do this someday soon though.
Hi Carl, thanks for the comment. Yes sir, if I recall correctly, we had a lot of fish and stopped keeping the smallest ones. I really like the 2-10 lb range (if I had to choose).
I've definitely seen that happen. We've also caught a lot of fish just baiting up our lines b/c a smaller fish will hit the bare hook and then the larger cat will eat them. Pretty wiled and always a good surprise. Thanks for the comment as well, sir!
