I was going to see sabotage when they opened for Vince Neil then they told us that the guitarist had died the night before total downer to say the least.
agree. those two bands had it all: power, riffs that killed, incredible guitarists, brutal drummers. Both these bands would be in my top 10 metal bands...maybe top 5.
Absolutely Dudes' name is Eric Wagner He writes most of the lyrics too. . I myself have been groovin' with these bros since 1991 btw Addictions create SELFISHNESS not unity and our world further decays : (
in the late 90s my friend Dave handed me this album (vinyl) and said... these guys are a christian band... and they sound like Sabbath. i still have the album.
Anyone who gives this song or CD a thumbs down doesn't know anything about Trouble. This entire CD is one of the greatest. Every release they have is impressive, powerful and has a message and meaning. Been following them from their first release.
Troubles self Titled album is one of the best Metal albums of all time. It was uplifting and full of hope in dark times. A light in the darkness. very spiritual.
R.I.P Eric. Your voice is incredible and I've been a fan since the late 80's. You deserved way more recognition and respect than y'all were ever shown.
It's not the greatest rock record.....it's the greatest record PERIOD! Troubles 1990 self-titled album is the single greatest thing ever recorded since Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon. An absolute classic and perfect album!
+Aaron Todd Fuck yes I couldn't have said any better sir. one more thing this is not a Christian metal or rock band. they are a fucking doom metal band, with some spiritual songs. I for one could care less about what he's singing about though. Just don't call them Christian metal. Eric Wagner was the only lyricist in the band who wrote songs about personal things in his life, and that's that. when u have only one guy writing lyrics, and the other guys have no involvement at all, sometimes ur gonna get songs about that guys personal stuff. he wasn't preaching or telling people to repent etc. etc. just singing songs that had deep meaning to him.
Strypers lyrics, Sabbath's sound, maiden's harmonies and on vocals....Rob Halford with glass in his throat. And the whole band is stoned. MY GOD I LOVE THIS BAND. In the Metallica movie Het is wearing a Trouble shirt. Just thought you'd like to know.
Saw these guys when they (along with White Zombie) opened for Pantera in 1992, they sounded exactly the same as they did on the record. Great song, great band!
Saw that same tour in Trouble's home town Chicago; one of the coolest moments I've ever seen at a concert was when Trouble played "The Tempter",and Phil Anselmo came out to share lead vocal duties. Respect.
I'm a bigtime SABBATH fan...but THIS is the coolest doom metal riff I have ever heard!!! And these guys say they learned all they know from Tony Iommi....:)
I have had so many goddamn copies of this.Cassette,lp, and numerous cds.Epic start to finish.Saw Eric Wagner open for Saint Vitus a year ago.Needless to say it was a transcendent night.God bless Trouble even w/o Eric
Eric Wagner has passed away. terrible, sad sad loss. one of the greatest singers ever, imo. been a fan of his music since at least 1987. The Skull was a terrific, solid supergroup of sorts. Trouble...well... i'll just say that all their albums are classic stuff- even Hetfield used to wear their shirts all the time, and a looong time time ago even stated that he stole Trouble's guitar tone just before entering the studio to make 'Ride the Lightning'. so there you go. everybody should own at least one, two or three Trouble albums. my desert island pick, though, is 'Trouble', the one released by the def american label in 1989 or 1990. thanks for music, Eric. you will be missed. R.I.P. (like their massive song off the 'Trouble' LP).
This IS a BadAss tune!!! One of the best opening guitar riffs EVER!!! IMO this ranks right up there with some of the Sabbath greats.... and Franklin/Wartell make one of the best doom guitar duos ever....
I saw Bruce do what seemed like a 5 minute solo piece within the band just jamming on a really great riff and man, it will forever remain to me one of the greatest pieces of live solo improv I have ever witnessed. That guy is, in my opinion, at the top of the heap of the greatest guitarists of all time. His style is all his own and nobody else can touch that shit. If you ever so much as have a given chance to possibly catch Trouble live and see Bruce Franklin on stage, fucking do it.
I disagree. The ENTIRE BAND was the most underrated band since their inception. (except in Chicago I hear). Trouble had no radio play when they were relevant. So the Misery, it still shows. Very underrated. Peace
Trouble is an excellent metal band i wish they wouldve been bigger. their self titled albums is one of the few out there that ive been able to listen to straight through good stuff.
Trouble was ahead of their time, because they were trying to warn us. " It's not fine to dance and sing, when bells of death do ring. And they will ring."
@@rogerf7229 Im thinking you may Need Air, To Breathe. theres nothing you can say, Take Me Downnnn below the ocean, where I wanna be, she may be... If I'm not mistaken brother. Peace
Z-Rock, I remember in the mid 80's when they were on in Cleveland. Z-Rock, 107.3 was the best station at the time and it was taken off the air a few years later. They played rock that the other stations didn't play and turned me on to bands like Trouble, Kind Diamond, Tesla and so many others. It was sad to have them taken out of Cleveland. Lock it in and rip the knob off.
Trouble = Riff masters.. hard driving punch to the gut guitar riffs and rock solid drums and bass. I've always liked these guys, they are just awesome.
HOLY SHIT!!!!! I have had this song in my head for years.. the album was stolen from me a LOOOOONG time ago and just now stumbled on this here!!!! Thank you soooooo damn much for posting this!!!!! AAAAAA.... LOVED THIS BAND!!!
@@etherealcatholic5711 They were just the opposite end of the shock factor. I mean it was shocking to hear Eric sing about religion in a sea of bands that sang about satanism.
A stranger he's so lonely because We can't see where the quiet winds live Streets where all the old folks give so much So much love At the end of my daze Time to change my ways At the end of my daze Electric green machine, do you know what I mean? If you're so full of fear Why then are you dreamin' here You are, you are here At the end of my daze Time to change my ways At the end of my daze Alone in the universe seems our lives are cursed See where eyes cannot follow And believing there is tomorrow It's here, it's here now At the end of my daze Time to change my ways At the end of my daze
Ohhhhh I'm at the End of my daze, Yeah, I'm at the end of my daze. My Daze. (into to The Wolf) Love me sum Trouble and their best album is "which ever one you you happen to be playing at the time." Their version of Come Together is simply... WOW. Peace
I was backstage and Eric Wagner started bitching that I was smoking a cigarette. I later was in the front row when his set began. He lit a joint and passed it to me. Haha. RIP brother.
Saw these guys open for Danzig in like 90 or 91. I was into both bands at the time which was nice congruence. Trouble was totally cool and let us take pics before the show and talked to us for a while. They actually sounded much better than Danzig live as far as the mix and both bands killed it that night. Artemis Hamm Hall UNLV
Perfect song to end my summer, I did nothing but smoke a ton of weed this whole summer, and the line "At the end of my daze, time to change my ways" makes so much sense haha. School starts tomorrow and I don't wanna be blazed off my ass
@imageassassin-RIght on Brother...Total HAND OF DOOM Riffage. When I listen to this song, I often start singing "You're havin a good time baybeh, but that that won't last" in traditional Ozzy style...KEEP IT HEAVY BRO...
Yeah, Trouble are quite the underdog of metal. The only reason I ever heard of them was because of Spiritual Beggars' cover of Mr White. Now I can't stop listening !
Is there a poster of these guys playing live? I haven't wanted a band poster for my wall, in decades! It's so when somebody asks who's this band they rock? I can just point to the poster & say yeah they do!
The self-titled album "Trouble." Problem is, it's out of print. Saw it go for $50.00 on ebay, so good luck finding it. It's in my top ten all-time best metal albums.
