I saw Warren play with the ABB back around 2003 or so. He is phenomenal live, a truly great guitarist. He was playing with Derek Trucks, they both were simply excellent.

@@howardwilson3821 I think you are missing the point. When I say modern jam band guitarists, it's more of a literal here and now statement. As far as I know, Warren Haynes pretty much has left performing Allman Brothers Music live on stage. We can Wipe The Windows Check the Oil, hope and pray for Dollar Gas with Pigs that can fly but Warren Haynes touring Allman Brothers music seems to be a Journey Through The Past. If the Brothers get back together , I'd love that. I last saw Brothers 50 at Madison Square Garden, last show before COVID Lockdown. One of the finest Allman Brothers live music shows I have seen. No ratings system but I enjoyed that as much as the front row center seats I had at the Palladium NYC in 1980 or 5th row center for Peakin' at The Beacon . I have nothing against Warren Haynes, his long career. I first saw Warren play live when the Allman Brothers reunited in 89'. Warren himself has stated he plans different forms of music that are not considered Jam Band perse. In my opinion Taz is the young guitarists that presently performs Allman Brothers music at it's highest ambient domain. Allman Family Revival was a very good show but something completely different, that was more of a revival hodge-podge production with many different musicians and stylings coming at you/revival. AFR was very good but it's far different than what you would hear at core Allman Brothers shows. If Taz doesn't move anyone that's their loss . In my opinion, he's the real deal, the main cat that can keep Allman Brothers Music Alive in the venues for generations to come. Food for thought, if people only looked at Duanne Allman's songwriting in The Allman Brothers and said. Wow Little Martha is great but how many songs did Duanne write for the Allman Brothers. The answer is 1 song, Little Martha. The band also plays many cover songs or what if things worked out different when Gregg was in LA very early and never came back to the Allman Brothers. Gregg's lack of success in in LA is where he came back to the band and The Allman Brothers took off. Things happen in space and time. There is no reason to discredit the amazing work of Warren Haynes, Derick Trucks or any guitarist since Duanne. Credit where Credit is due, Taz is amazing.
