Well Mitch, I had trouble with the spring on the clip that came with the rifle. I just went ahead and bought 5 of the metal ones and got rid of the plastic ones. My plastic ones the spring would keep pulling out of the hole in the back of the clip. You might have the spring wound too tight. But that screw should go in with hardly any effort. That clip is messed up.
Moved and revised: Hay Mitch, There are 2 different quality mags made. The cheap 1s only have one little spring hole on the back and are like $3-5 cheaper than the good Benjamin mags. The better Benjamin mags have three little spring holes in the back and don't have these problems. It is the .22 and .177 cal. models that are problematic. Some people said, Umarex and Air Venturi have started including the cheap ones with their rifles. There are videos on how to fix the cheap ones by cutting the cheap stretched spring and melting the spring back in the hole!
I just wanted to let everybody know that the magazine turned out to be faulty and I could not get it to work. But I did find out that I was putting it back together correctly. Thank you everyone for your help. Apologies for not updating you sooner.
What's up Mitch!👊🏿 It might just be a defective magazine. I would call Air Venturi and see what they say and maybe they'll send another one out to you.👍🏿😁
I have that kind of mag. It came with the .22 bandit and it indexed good. I switched breech and barrell together with the chaser and it dont want to work now.... makes no sense at all because it's literally the same breech!! How crazy is that??.
That was a while back but if I remember correctly. I ended up having to go get a new one because that one was not repairable defective in some way. Sorry I didn't have a better solution for you 😁
@@skinnymitchairgunbrotherho7152 It doesn't matter, it's new so I'm going to claim the warranty or start by contacting my dealer who may have the solution in this case I'll try to share it. Thank you for your quick reply. Good continuation
Are you sure that window is flat? Lay it on a table to see if it's warped. I think the center is conical where the screw is and using it in the heat and sun has caused warpage like you mentioned.
We break for squirrel. I just acquired today a flat level piece of aluminum. I tested it with a square to make sure it is level. So when I get a chance I will lay the window flat on it. Thank you for the advice!!!!
I have three new magazines like that and none of them work. They all have week springs that come unseated, and are hard to fix. I spent hours trying to get them to work. This is a bad design. The spring needs to be thicker, and stronger, with better retention. See.......
We break for squirrel ... I guess you could say I figured it out it turned out to be a faulty magazine. I know one thing for sure I did put it back together the way it's supposed to go. I just couldn't get it to work. So my friend Tom who owns the air Venturi avengers sent it back under warranty.
@@webreakforsquirrel4201 apologies brother with all the comments and everybody helping me I thought everyone understood that I worked it out. Thank you for pointing that out I don't wish to make that mistake again. 😀😀😀😀
Why is that Avenger magazine sometimes don't load when I'm about to squeeze the trigger damn it please any one knows how to fix it? Please help me out 🙏 sometimes I have to shoot blank and loss many air 😭
Hay Mitch, There are 2 different quakity mags made. One cheap 1s only have one little spting hole on the back and are like $3-5 cheaper. @@gmanneod8085 thank you that clarifies some things. Where is the best place to go in order to ensure I can get the one with the three holes. I know that's kind of a dumb question I can go to Benjamin. But just to make sure I'm getting the right one . PS thank you for your help
@@skinnymitchairgunbrotherho7152 I know you can see pictures of the backs on PA and Airgun depot! Of the 7 mags, 4 extra, I bought I have received only 2 single hole ones. when one went bad i did the research to find out this information. I guess your going to have to talk to some one on the phone before you purchase. Make sure with store or return if they send the cheap ones!
I thought it was wound backwards at first but I watched several times and it looks right. When closed the brass pin should be bottom center the window should read 0 and the slotted groove should have the stop to the left of the brass pin. If the spring is in the right place it should all work once pre tension is applied. Check the center hole maybe it was rethreaded and has risen up like a volcano. That might cause the play when loose and binding when tight.
Sam Houston thank you. Yep it lines up exactly how you described it. It is slightly off like the spring needs to be stretched out a little. There is a video that was sent to me that explains how to do it. I'm going to try it and also look to see if it was rethreaded and got the volcano effect LOL also I'm not sure if this is correct I'm going to look into it but it seems like it's rocking on the gold pin. So I was thinking of tapping it back a little bit. Trial and error I guess trial and error. Again thank you you rock my airgun brother
Hey mitch I'm Sorry you're having such trouble with your avenger magazine my friend. I know on my .25 cal. marauder magazines which are the same style magazine, there are three holes in a triangle pattern on the market back of the magazine where you can change the position of the tension spring and I was thinking in your case that spring may have somehow came out of the proper hole. But as someone else already commented there are some magazine's being used these days that only have one hole in the back for the tension spring position. I'm not sure what your particular magazine has or doesn't have. But I was thinking the problem you're having may very well have to do with that tension spring under the piece that holds the pellets in place. I truly hope that helps you out bro, if it doesn't I do apologize my friend and I hope you get things figured out asap. Have a great day mitch and I'll see you in the next one. Take care brother
Yeah I have the magazine that only has one hole. And my airgun Brothers including you came out of the woodwork with all kinds of answers so I have a lot of things to try. And your comment was very very helpful
