In this video we are going to walk you through a common problem
when trouble shooting your Sur Ron bike. A common is the lack of
throttle engagement when the power is turned on for your Sur Ron bike.
When you open the bike, everything seems to be working perfectly fine.
The battery, bike and horn but there is no throttle with the bike.
Many forums claim that you should change controllers, or perhaps
you should unplug the tilt, brake or kick stand sensors. Others
claim that you should change the controllers. In certain cases, the controllers
or sensors could be the issue but in this scenario, this was not the case.
In our scenario, we tried the above and when that didn't work, we figured out that the electronic throttle is faulty and we will show you how to replace the throttle.
Steps:
1) Make sure bike is powered off and flip breaker to off position
2) Disconnect 6 pin controller wires and high voltage wires
3) Remove throttle, cut zip ties, remove Sur Ron cable management tie
4) Remove bolt that holds throttle into frame
5) Remove the bolts on the bash guard so that it can disconnect from the bike
6) Remove 4mm bolt so that you can remove the throttle wire out
7) Install new throttle and all the bolts that were removed
and reconnect throttle to the bike
8) Reconnect high voltage wires
9) Put brakers on
And you are all set!!!
