My vacuum hose on my Miele was clogged near the handle - after watching a couple videos on how to remove the handle - i thought this is way too complex - has to be a simpler solution - and reversing the hose worked perfectly - thank you so much.
You were the first video I found. I was freaking out but your explanation that the Miele will safety-off when overheated made me calm again. My Kona C3 is working again. Thanks, dude.
Thank you! I had tried so many things but not swapping the hose around and suctioning. I had the vacuum in the car ready to go to the vacuum tech. Took it back out of the car and tried the last option. It worked!!! Thank you!!
My Meile wasn’t switching on and the moment you said getting too hot it turned back on in the other room, it must have heard you. And yes it got to hot using it outside in the sun. Good info on proper use of the vacuum I was beginning to think I was going have to take it to the service centre 😑
Thank you for your informative video--thanks to your excellent tips I got my Miele back up and running :) I will be purchasing from you in the future!! :)
Thank you man! The reverse suction found a cap that was stuck....i was buying filters and everything. Although I did watch your filter video and I am glad I bought new ones because it is more for hepa.
Thank you. This worked on my cx1 blizzard to clear a clog in the top part of the handle after it goes through the hose. Make sure you turn the power onto max
Thank you for posting this and for the comment at the end about a service person possibly using an air compressor to unblock the hose. We have an air compressor, so that will be my second attempt should the reverse suction not work.
someone had one on the curb I brought it home and it does this. it appears they cleaned up a massive flour spill (kitchen) as it coated the inside of the main hose..so I suspect it's inside the motor some-how - the chamber where the bag is in .. is relatively clean I will spend a few minutes on it to see if I can get it to operate normally - if not it will go back in the trash. it turns on sometimes..and then just shuts off.
Just the part about the vacuum turning itself off for 30 mins when it overheats was enough information to just about buy enough time to re-test it before my wife ordered a new one, it was touch and go though!
Sorry to hear that Dionne. Try cleaning it out as much as you can. If the dirt is gone into the motor though, it may be a good idea to take it in to a Miele dealer close to you for service.
I have an issue with my miele cat and dog light. Even if I change the bag, almost after the first vacuuming the light goes red again indicating the bag is full while it isnt. It's getting me frustrated as I feel it's not sucking properly. Could it be a cloging issue? Do you have any idea as I don't seem to find anyone else mentioning this? Thank you!
Hi, it sounds like you have a clog in the hose. try taking the hose off the canister and see if the indicator still goes across all the way. if not, then there is likely a clog in the hose. reverse the air flow as shown in the video. that should help, otherwise you might want to take in for service.
If the vacuum is not turning on because of a clog, it means the motor has overheated. If you wait about an hour, when the motor cools down, it should turn back on, assuming the motor is not dead. But ya, if its just not turning on at all, there is a bigger problem than just the clog.
Hey! The light on my Miele Triflex HX1 Pro vacuum isn't working properly. When I turn the machine on the light goes on for like 1 second but then turns off. The suction is working as usual. Please help me :)
Hey Avocado Lover. That is the first time we have come across this issue before. Not sure where you are located or where you purchased it, but your vacuum should be under warranty if you purchased it brand new from a Miele authorized dealer. Maybe take it back and have them take a look. There is a chance the whole head should be changed.
Thank U for your answer! Today I discovered that the head of the brush isn't spinning as well... The suction works, but no spinning and no light. I'm from Germany - probably the country with most Miele specialists haha I also had the fear that the whole head needs to be replaced :( Thank U anyway
Hi Paul, since Im not sure exactly which model you have, this is a guess, but I think that sounds like an electronic board problem. I would take it for service to a Miele authorized center.

Well, yes, if the reason the vacuum has turned off and isn't turning on is because a clog has triggered the heat sensor on the motor, then if you wait 20-30 min and try again, it will turn on. If the vacuum isn't turning on because the motor is ceased, for instance, then ya, this obviously wont work.
