I've never fished vaqueros but I've seen some ppl post about it. Iwill have to try it out. But I like going to camanche for sure. Just a bit expensive . Good luck!
Hello my dear friend ❤️ Well Come To back How are you 😊 Another Most Beautifull and interesting video sharing 💯 keep it up stay connected 😊 Always be happy 😊
I use 4 ib fluro as leader material also. It can be very snappy depending on how long you have it. My brother fishes the pond almost every weekend. Surprising you had your striper setup as weight lol.
🤣 yea my striper setup was already in my car. I had my bfs bait caster and my other small spinning. So I used the striper rod instead of the bfs. Lol. Just gotta be more prepared next time.
@@sanmansfishingadventure I was thinking the same thing about your setup! Ive been watching alot of trout videos lately and I am surprised by many of the youtubers who use way heavy setups to fish for trout. Personally I have a 8' lightning rod with a small reel filled with 6lb test and 4lb fluro leader. So much more fun catching on light tackle.
@Memo-nd6fj 😂nice. Yea, I wasn't prepared and had my striper rod in my truck already. I was really trying to use my bfs bait caster but ended up having no luck on it so got lazy and threw out power bait instead. For sure I'll be prepared next time. These trout were huge. 4+lbs. Seen a couple around 10lbs caught before.
You kinda put to much bait at that point your kinda of wasting power bait in trouts are very finicky too all you need is a size 8 hook in just enough to cover it in try to down size on your weight to if is to heavy the trouts feel weight they will let go also I just thought share that with you tight lines brother….
Thanks for the tip. I was just honestly not prepared for trout fishing. I had mainly my striper fishing gear😆. I was planning on using my bfs baitcaster with lure. But I ended up fishing way up at top. So I need the heavier weight to cast it to the water. Fish were not too far but throwing it too close =no fish. Medium =snag on the rocky drop off. So ended up launching far. Still had about 12 bites.
I was using 1/2 oz weight for the smaller rod and ibelieve 1oz for bigger rod. I noticed that once it got a bit later in the day, the fish were a bit deeper so I was casting it farther out.
trout at lake mcswain has been crazy through out december and till today they are still good. you should go try it out im pretty sure they have been biting on powerbait, btw i love your vids
