You kinda put to much bait at that point your kinda of wasting power bait in trouts are very finicky too all you need is a size 8 hook in just enough to cover it in try to down size on your weight to if is to heavy the trouts feel weight they will let go also I just thought share that with you tight lines brother….
Thanks for the tip. I was just honestly not prepared for trout fishing. I had mainly my striper fishing gear😆. I was planning on using my bfs baitcaster with lure. But I ended up fishing way up at top. So I need the heavier weight to cast it to the water. Fish were not too far but throwing it too close =no fish. Medium =snag on the rocky drop off. So ended up launching far. Still had about 12 bites.
Brooo. I hate that shit. Those mofo got the whole river but they want to anchor close to shore. Then there the one who drive pass close to shore like why can't you go into the middle or the other side
For real. Had a jet ski 7 to 8 yards out. Good thing I reeled in my other pile I was throwing farther. Maybe I'll make a video of I can find the clip too. Lol
@sanmansfishingadventure yeah thinking of trying for crappie. Never fished there before so it'll be a 1st. Thinking try where that launch is at under the dock lol
I was using 1/2 oz weight for the smaller rod and ibelieve 1oz for bigger rod. I noticed that once it got a bit later in the day, the fish were a bit deeper so I was casting it farther out.
Nice. Good to know. I don't really target them too often. But use to catch the small one and just deep fry it and eat the bones and all. My parents love eating bluegill though.
😂 I loss a few bass like that during bass tournaments. I know better to use meet on the side to block now. I need make a trip to Collins. I be seeing your catches. Lol
@@sanmansfishingadventure exactly. Shape like a bluegill, looks like a bluegill it's a bluegill in my books. You should get one of the fishing basket instead of going through the Hassel with a stringer for your bluegill.
😅 yes I know. I know there's a difference. 1/3 way in to the video I mention don't kill me for it. That I know there's a difference between red ear, bluegill, sun fish. It's like calling a small mouth bass a spotted bass.
What I learned the after the first time fishing in those type of steams is always bring red worms. I was fishing tubes are barely getting hits while my cousin next to me was floating red worms down and kept catching the steam trout.
Yup for sure drifting redwoods or night crawler for bigger trout. I was hoping to catch some grasshopper to use for bait which is normally pretty good too. But I was limited on time. Lol
Sorry BrianRockFishing on RU-vid introduced me there. Don't want to blow up the small lake. he just put out a few video. Check it out. You may want to ask him.
