Conditions: Overcast
Primary Pattern: Twitching the trout magnet rapidly in front of the fishes face. The gold color with a gold jighead was the key but the color they prefer can change at anytime so having multiple colors is best.

Great video! I have tried going for stocked trout in Maryland for many years and have had luck in some spots especially in the northern part of the state, but in central MD like Great Seneca by Gaithersburg, I've had no luck. Any tips / recommendations? The stocked trout at the creek are super picky. tight lines!

Thanks! So i'd definitely recommend going right after they stock it. As of right now i'd either go to a catch n release only area or just wait till the spring for stocked trout. Bring as many lures or bait as possible cuz you never really know what they are gonna be biting on that particular day. A split shot rig is very versitile for drift fishing, plunking or jigging. Whether it's powerbait or a soft plastic i'd definitely recommend a split shot rig with the smallest hook you can find. Also trout magnets like i used in this video are extremely effective especially in catch n release areas or when the trout are visible. Look for deep pools and pockets with stucture. The smaller the lure the better. I hope these tips help thanks again for watching!
