@@dracometeors3010 Who really glared at Mermaid on release and went "this card is going to enable full Orcust combo and needs to be banned"? The card was for Iblee who was barely strong at the time.
but world chalice is pretty decent, you can use all sorts of things like krytia, naturia beast, the amorphage high level monsters, etc. to make a good lockdown deck, or you can go full link spam and make borreload/firewall/trigate etc.
I'm not saying its bad, its a deck I think is slept on terribly, but I understand why it isn't competitive. Its a combo-centric deck that relies far too heavily on the venus engine to do anything and is heavily susceptible to most forms of disruption ( I know this is a given, but I mean more-so than other decks). Also, as great as Exod is as a recovery card, the deck is still objectively worse without Emeral which also makes beckoned less useful than chosen. Unfortunately, being decent just isn't enough anymore in yugioh.
agree. It depends on the main deck monsters. If they end up being bad and not worth the slot, I think most will run this deck as a engine for the extra deck, which isn't bad IMHO because all of these monsters are REALLY good. I hope they end up good and have effects that activate when discarded, which would fit the theme of the link monsters perfectly.
I once went up against a Knightmare who pulled off an extremely complicated strategy to perform an Extra Link on the first turn. Also, both extra zones were occupied by Knightmare Mermaid, so since they only point down, I had absolutely no way to Synchro, Xyz, Fusion, or Link Summon.
I like this, the monsters are very cooperative to each other. Now we wait for the main deck support. Well honestly it only requires 2 monsters with a different names. So i mean You can run a cyberse Troymare deck. I'm actually very interested in this deck. This archetype screams the "United we stand" (Not the card). And come on now with the possibility to draw between 2-5 cards, come on now it has definitely sparked my interest. Besides every link summon after the first is a draw as well (Co-linked draw effect)
a few things would have to happen for it to be good though. First and primary condition is that they cannot be zombies... Konami really does not like zombies.
Yeah ... Konami really love plant btw ... They even have plant in their backyard to protect them from zombie ... Even konami wear that fucking pot on their head to protects their vrains from being eaten ... That explains why they are seems lacks of vrains when they design a new card ... Oh wait, its a different game, btw it doesn't matter, its still the same. Vrains, they need a vrains.
Even if this deck is great on its own, I can't help but feel like these are all great indirect world chalice support. I'm already excited for the remaining cards!
Welp, time for the meta to utilize Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries more than before. Reason: to take out some of these link monsters (preferably the bigger ones) before they hit the field.
I'm not sure I want a deck whose main thematic is drawing cards by maintaining their board presence to be good. I'm sure hand traps will either be somewhat power crept nerfed (Ban list) but if they are not.... well do you like the idea of someone filling their hand with more hand traps and recycling the solemn brigade simply by playing the game?
It seems this archetype will be based on swarming with different monsters. Who knows? Maybe this will be the first archetype based deck that uses one of every different monster in it.
Great vid, I think you can open with destroymare evereise, summon mermaid, use scapegoat, summon some link 1 monsters summon Griffin, use another scapegoat, more links 1s, for Cerberus or Phoenix followed by goblin, then summon the other monster of their Phoenix or Cerberus next to goblin, and if you summon another monster, you can go right into Pegasus, giving you almost a complete lock, and you can latter summon that last peonix or Cerberus if you want.
wish they to be good since they are fiends cool artworks and.. revive fabled engine.. but even without the support (except iblee) the weakness is obvious. all you need to do is to interrupt their co-linked gimmick by some non targeting non destroy removal - Ra sphere mode. if we are gonna see them in meta, Ra sphere mode would be staples in many sidedecks. (just like what happens to fabled and dark worlds with DD crow and Necrovalley back then)
I feel like this deck has POTENTIAL to be really good, these monsters are really powerful... however... I feel they need a field spell similar to the elementsaber one to help cover for that discard bit. that's a lot of hand minus you have to take per effect and I already tell if people are playing these it will be to turbo them out ASAP, so youll likely use most of your hand in link spam for these cards. Not saying there bad because they AINT! they just need some consistency is all. Definitely keep an eye on these
I think Konami should take a long break from giving every archetype its own field spell. Like, they could just design a proper archetype so that they don't need to balance it out with a field spell.
It will probably will get a field spell regardless since its in the theme Each of the World Legacy arctypes's respective field spells has their respective World Legacy artifact in the artwork So for this case, they will get a World Legacy field spell that features the Troymare's respective World Legacy artifact, World Legacy - World Lance", in its artwork
Not entirely. The fact that the materials are generic for all these mean that they're as splashable as something as Invoked. Hyper Link decks will be very pleased.
Cool, the new World Legacy deck is more Link-based than Chalice...Wait. Iblee... Lee is the Chalice Fairy and Ib is the Chalice Priestess... clever move, Konami.
Pretty much Lee and Ib practically merged together Possibly shown in the new trap "Resistance Against The World Legacy" and it looks like those 2 World Chalice monsters in it(the boy and the dragon one) lost their Link forms since they appear in their non-Link forms, possible due to the World Chalice artifact is messed up when Lee goes all evil and tried to pull something on Ib
There's a lot more to it than that. There are only 6 Troymare monsters, with each one representing a different Mekk Knight; Mermaid is ACTUALLY Indigo, and Blue Sky doesn't transform into one. The new World Legacy card art shows Iblee wiping out all the Knights save for Blue Sky, with Inheritor showing Blue Sky essentially fusing with Auram. Chronologically, every other image shows Auram in this Blue Sky-boosted form, which also explains why none of the other Knights appear.
Actually, looking at the artwork of the other World Legacy cards (there were SIX in Flames of Destruction) that simply isn't the case for a multitude of reasons. First, Ningirsu is still alive; in fact, it is implied that he defeated the Troymares or at least held them off as seen in World Legacy Nightmare. As for whether he survived the encounter, he is seen in the background art for World Legacy End, which is currently the last event of the story. My proof for this is in the card numbers; in terms of story, the artwork goes from CotD to FoD, from Spells to Traps, in the order in which they are listed in the card lists. Second, the story arc seems to jump villains every time a new set is released. It went Krawlers, then Mekk-Knights, then Troymares. It would only make sense for the next ones to be either new allies or new enemies. Regarding the three, the Mekk-Knights and Troymares are one and the same and are gone; with that defeat, no one is controlling the Krawlers and they are therefore defeated as well. Ib stabbed herself to stop Lee, but I doubt that did anything too efficient since I'm starting to think that Lee is the embodiment of the World Legacy's consciousness. At this point, I am safe to assume that Ib's/Eve's death will only be a temporary or a red herring. A lot of this story is taking inspiration from anime and JRPG's, so killing off the main love interest of the hero (AKA Auram/Avram/Abram) is a bad move. Future Predictions: Lee will find the three remaining Legacies (whatever they are) and will control them as a big Link Monster, presumably called The World Legacy. Auram will become the World Hero (possibly through Ningirsu's brave sacrifice), save the day, get Ib/Eve back, and live happily ever after. In case it wasn't clear already, I absolutely LOVE the World Legacy archetype. The Xenoblade Chronicles vibes I get from it are insane and I would be completely down for an anime spin-off of the story.
That last bit is a tricky one. Honestly, I thought Aoi's brother would use the Chalices, but he got his own deck, so I'm not sure what to think. As for the Krawlers, may I direct you to the artwork for World Legacy Pawns and World Legacy Trap Globe. For Pawns, you can see the Mekk-Knights appearing on a hill in the background while Ningirsu and Ib are surrounded. In Trap Globe, the Krawlers are all burning and the Mekk-Knights very clearly take Ib. My evidence for the Krawlers being controlled by the Knights is simple: the vanilla text from the Chalice monsters. Crowned/Ib/Eve refers to how her staff (later revealed to be a key) guards their village from the Mekk-Knights. Both Chosen/Auram and Beckoned/Ningirsu mention how they fight against "Mekkstrocities" with Beckoned/Ningirsu going so far as to call them "Mekkstrocious Insects," which is a clear reference to the Krawlers. The continued use of Mekk makes me believe that the Knights controlled all of them. Story-wise, the last card is Echo as it shows Auram/Avram after his fusion with Blue Sky and Ib after the stabbing shown in Resistance. My predictions for the Legacies are a Helmet or Crown, a pair of Greaves or Boots, and then something like a Necklace. Jesus, I am way more dedicated about these than I should be.
Not everything has to be special or exciting. These effects are good not to great and not to bad. Simply enjoy what they are worth in pretty hyped with goblin
So Iblee is a Cyberse......but all the Link monsters are fiends....WHY? The Troymares are suppose to be mythical creatures. But why is she a cyberse, when the Link monsters are Fiends? Maybe if they get some Spells or Traps that focus on Cyberse monsters. It’ll be okay
Supposedly according to the Yugioh website you can make it so that you draw 6 cards per turn... which is ridiculous... but hey, maybe it will be harder than it sounds in an actual game.
I bet you feel real stupid for saying they seem boring after the Gouki Extra Link OTK became a thing. But being honest, they do get boring after being used against you on YGOpro for the 50th time.
Co-Link and Mutual Link are the same word (Co-Link is just a term in the TCG edition), so yes, their "co-linked" effect still apply as long as their Link Monster(s) are co-linked together.
It's kinda sad since they have some pretty cool lore, even if it isn't much. I mean come on, they are the corrupted versions of the Jack/Mekk Knights who've been transformed by the mage of the world chalice/legacy trio, after she herself has been brainwashed by the cutsie pixie helper her group had tagging along. This is some jrpg storytelling, too bad you have to look it all up becaus Konami can't utilise their own lore -____-
