This radio is a decent tuner. Far away DX stations are screened out by the digital tuner. I live in a valley surrounded by mountains. The WX function is pretty much deaf to me. There are a lot of features. Some are gimmicky, like the very loud "alarm" and the light show when you turn it on. The BT function and cell phone app are nice. The Sd card slot plays your files well. The EQ sound and the bass response speaker are incredible. There are 3 ways to tune this radio. That seems redundant, but I always like options. The battery lasts a long time and you can easily upgrade it to a more powerful one. The AM antenna is at the bottom of the radio. It works for what it is. But an external AM antenna Jack would be nicer than a flashlight IMHO. But over all a great little radio. I look forward to your review...😎

This radio got me back into MW DXING again, surprisingly well with its DSP noise reduction. Shortwave is acceptable for AM only, VHF is surprisingly sensitive along with FM. I like the app control, and agree with you on NBFM only on VHF. The flashlight is handy I even used it as PC and Bluetooth speaker. Never used the earbuds, but my Bose headphones sound fine. I pronounce ZHIWHIS. (Zee Whiz) like Gee Whiz. Well Raddy came out with their R919 that solves many of the drawbacks, but is bigger that I just ordered with direct tuning and SSB on the radio with selectable backlight colors. At a slightly…😢..higher price…😮… so fingers crossed…😊! 73! Have a great day!

broardcast fm very good sound, airband to me not to good, shortwave ok.
