Great detailed video thanks for sharing I have the c27 luckily I havent had any issues I drain my gas occasionally though

Thank you for the comment. 👍🏻 A common reason why it does happen is that the mower sits and not used and the carb is still full of gas. It’s always a good idea to run the motor with the gas turned off an burn off anything that is left in the carb before winterizing. Appreciate the support

Hey Dwayne. How’s that carb working a year later? The GX160 on my 3 year old McLane has started surging. Checked plug, filter and gas. All good. I completely drain my tank over the winter. Do you have a link to the carb you used? Thanks! Edit. Never mind. Saw it in your description!

Thank you for your comment. Attached you will find the carb i had used and haven’t had any issues. I have purchased 1 for my Mclane 25 greens mower that has the Honda gx160 along with a trucut c-25 that has the Honda gx160 as well. For the price of the carb with any issues that may come in the future it is very inexpensive and almost worth just replacing vs cleaning. Hope this helps…. a.co/d/4m0FhxE

Gotta say because of your scalp video i pulled the trigger on a used Tru Cut, was posted a 25in, turned out to be a 27in, had a 5hp briggs and a 5blade reel, good bed knife, and good amount of reel left as well, is a non leaver height adjust, but just swapped my GX120 on to it and it has handled spinning the reel better than the ol briggs did, Side note, what's a good temp to pre scalp bermuda?

You generally can scalp anything after your last freeze which is the case for most of the southern part of the US. If you are in the transition zone in the US it would depend how north of that you. I would say late feb and early March would be a good time or as soon as you start to see the green fuse on your lawn you can scalp. Congratulations on the new reel mower!!!!
