Do you feel like the roll up bed cover is better or would be better than the folding one? I have a 96 Silverado OBS and am thinking about doing the same. Now we use the customers water and electric as we detail outta our cars, but I did just get a 35 gallon water tank for $50 bucks and looking to get a generator as well.
I prefer the roll back because the folding one I looked at wouldn’t fold completely up and blocked me from getting to the front of the bed. I’m looking into a bed cap now though to get a taller water tank.
I’ve had better luck with radiant rinse than Formula 4. You can tell Radiant rinse is a dedicated rinse agent whereas I’ve gotten streaks from Formula 4 if I don’t rinse quick enough. Thanks for watching!!!
I sent you a message on instagram asking for some advice for beginners in the business. Was curious to what is the best way to deal with payments from customers while being mobile? How to deal with being in many different locations detailing dos and dont’s
Did I miss your message or did I respond? Make sure you got the right IG. diamond_handsdetailingllc But since you asked, that’s a great video idea for my channel so I think I’ll do a video this week on that. Message me on IG though and I can help too.
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC yes I believe it’s the right ig because I recognize your logo. It’ll be a message from Lowes lawn care..and it wasn’t a rush or anything..more or less just was trying to make sure it was the right one so I hopped on here to reach out as well..
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC I’m looking to do something similar, would it be possible you show me a bit in more detail how to secure the tank? I’m really schratching my head here..
Mann that setup is fire 🔥trynna have pretty much like the same setup you got there brother. Like around how much did you invest in all of your equipment approx?
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC I bet, everything looks legit man. One more thing brother I would like to have your opinion, You as a professional detailer do you recommend going all out like that and buying everything that’s needed or start off little by little? I mean im new to this but I would like to just have everything and go for it feel me? my budget is around $2,000
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLChey I literally have the same truck and was thinking on mounting everything to a plywood ! Haha but what pressure washer you use and compressor so it can turn on and off I have everything just need the generator and tornador
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC I am in lakeland and scared to go full time because so many people think $225 for a car is too much for a detail. I can't go any lower than that lol
Hi im gonna pull the trigger on purchasing an air compressor for use of tornador type for and and crevices. At the moment i have 2,000 watt predator genirator. Sometimes(most oftem i like to use clients power) What size air compressor do j need for tornador or ur type of gun? How manny watts does it use? Thank u in advance. Long live detailing and the hustle 🇺🇸
A suggestion Remove all the chemicals from your truck bed, you breath them Or crack open the windows when driving around in it It goes to your lungs, eyes and your health is priority one Red eyes? Dry mouth? Dizzy? The chemicals are working… Not now, but it will show later when you age Not good idea to have any chemicals in your truck cabin
All the chemicals I keep in the truck are the safe ones lol. Non acid, non caustic etc. The worst thing in the truck is an alkaline bug remover. I totally get what you mean though!
Love the set up! I’m gathering all information to start my own detailing business as well. For your water, do you have a deionizing filter on the tank or at home?
It’s a big tank that i have at home. Bought it on RV mods. I also live close to the Car Candy detail store and you’re able to fill up with spot free water there too.
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC do you have instagram or something else to dm for advice and tips? I have some questions from time to time, that’s if you don’t mind.
Word of mouth and Facebook have been my best 2 sources. A lot of people go straight to Facebook when they need any service, so if you keep a pretty good presence on there you should get a good amount of work.
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC appreciate that. I actually like 5 clients from a Facebook group! And then it just died down. I guess I need to join more local groups and what not
@@LewTh3Jew yea just be consistent. I’ve found that people really like educational type posts like why you should remove bug guts or why you should get a paint sealant etc. Best of luck to you!
It’s not as bad as you think. Everything is within arms reach and I just make sure I put everything back where it belongs rather than crawling into a van to fill water, find materials etc. A fully built high roof van would be nice but then I lose accessibility like I have with the truck. It does get a little cluttered after a day or 2 of work though lol.
I use a 98 chevy Astro. Best rig in my opinion. It does have almost 400k on the odometer so I’m thinking about using my gmc sierra 1500 with a 6.5 ft bed. 1 reason I believe the truck is better is the insurance. Insurance companies want an arm and a leg for cargo vans.
I live in central Fl too and just got serious about starting my own detail business as well with the same idea of using my truck bed. Keep the videos coming! Would love more info on the water tank like do you need a pump or something or could you just hook the pressure washer to tank like that and ready to go? Thanks
