This is a truck-box I made to replace a standard truck tool box that didn't fit after I installed some racks for a canoe and kayak. I was at Blue Lake campground in Colorado at the time I recorded this.
I own a 2000 Tundra. I want to have a box like this built. I have a fiberglass cap on my bed. I want to use the top surface as a bed for sleeping on while traveling. I just need a well skilled carpenter.
@jocbt All I did for slides was add plastic tabs to the bottom and lower sides of the channel for each drawer, the plastics tabs are the kind you would use to put on the bottom of furniture so it slides on wood floors easily. I also rounded over the back bottom corners of the drawers so they wouldn't catch on the "slides"
@Bushman1326 Thanks, unfortunately I don't own a Jeep :( but it would be fun to build a storage system for one that you could easily remove for different applications, or make it modular so that you could have a base set of drawers for stuff you want all the time and another for camping gear. I could really dork out on designing a system like that :)
