I should say what you cook also depends on where you are at ! In the PNW We have Bears ..lol ..they don't seam to like east Indian ( curry ) but wolves do..so be careful our Friend ! But butter curry w/ prawns n basmati rice w peas in the rice..easy quick n delish !

I moved to Colorado from Tennessee(home town)four year's ago hoping for a fresh start and honestly I hate it. So now my wife and kids are moving back home. The full-grown rooster in the suburban area story made me smile. There are areas in Compton, California where people have horses, bulls, cows, pigs and fowl. The homes are on large plots of land in an area we used to call *The Badlands.*

One of my favorite quick go to meals is, smoked sausage with white rice and green beans. white rice -add green onion while it boils. Use fresh green beans (I typically season them with minced garlic, onion powder, pepper, cayenne and seasoning salt). I fry the smoked sausage with sliced onion in a bit of oil. (I season it with red chili flakes, paprika, garlic and a dash of cayenne). *you can also substitute the rice with roasted potatoes, it’s just as good!

Mav, try putting some weather strip on the bottom edge of your door hatch so it has a better seal against your tailgate for winter and to keep dust out. I’m going to run the weather tape all around the bottom edge of my topper when I get one to completely seal it from rain and better insulation, and the hatch, then a bed carpet on the tailgate so it tucks in the opening on the bottom of the tailgate for more dust proofing and insulation.

Great job ! I try to pick up after others as well. Leave it cleaner than when you arrived. I always keep a grabber type pick up tool in my suv just for that. Keeps my hands cleaner, and saves my back from all the bending down.

I got two questions for ya! What do you do when it’s very hot in the back how do you keep cool? And can you lock the back topper from the inside so when you are sleeping no one can try and get in?

Other than fans and sleeping with just a light sheet there’s not much you can do for the heat unless you have a fridge and then you can get a reusable bean bag that chills in fridge. Yes you can lock it from inside. When I did it I not only locked it but I had a chord I would secure from truck bed tie town to window lock opener thing so Even if it wasn’t locked you couldn’t open it from outside. At the very least I would wake up from someone trying.

I camp in my suv a lot and I have a 150 watt ac power bank and I just plug a little usb fan into that or if I needed a bigger fan I have a 6 inch electric fan I plug in. I keep a spray bottle nearby and mist myself.

Mav, I built a Chevy express cargo van into a mini cabin very stealthy with no windows. I drove across country for over six months and stayed overnight in a lot of neighborhoods with no issues at all. I also street camped in Key West Fl for 3 weeks and New Orleans for Mardi Gras for 3 weeks had the best time of my life with no issues. I just don’t think it’s that big of a deal anymore. But It’s a great idea to Drive around and read the street signs and scope out the areas you’re going stay in for safety anyway. Really enjoy your video’s, travel safe!!
