It's because the sacrifice isn't worth the money. It's really hard for young people to be willing to give up their youth to go out & work away from home.
@@stardustmusic448 it could pay better but it's still not worth the risk. Trust me, I'm 28 & I got my CDL 5 years ago. Only about 5 of the class of 30 that I was in are still driving.. Most do local work or when back to their old jobs. Truck drivers just don't make enough to make that kind of sacrifice. If I kids, I'm pretty sure I would have a local job as well tbh. The industry can either make things more accommodating for drivers or get self driving trucks.

Afternoon Madam. I do have a Truck its 2014 Model UD. I bought it in 2021. I m in container business but I need to be directed contracted by, I don't want to be subcontracted by anyone bcoz they don't us. Trucking business is dominated by white people. We don't even know how to have a direct access to those containers

Thank you. The great start is securing a contract even if its a sub contract. If no contract then you need to have a lot of connection for work because you would not want a truck that is collecting dust if you know what i mean.
