I really like watching your videos. You pull no punches, and tell it like it is. I'm 45, and my dad taught me a lot of things look for, when buying these older vehicles. I've owned several of these dent sides, and you pointed out some things dad never told me about. One question though, what brand and size tires are those?
+ check the cab mounts... if the hood is closed and you still see from the side a opening : < shape , the mounts are toasted ! anyways, well explained. definitely worth to put money in it !!
Jason! My husband is working on one, Georges truck is in better shape than one my man is working on. I love them tires! My husband done some restoration to rims, turned out good. (You had Oreily autoparts commercial and st.judes one awe🤗) other than water pump issue, mptpr looks good. dashboard is in good shape, love old pioneer stereos! You right Jason its gonna be a doozy prpject
That is a great old truck. These issues seem kind of minor. Looks like someone started, it just needs to be finished. But of course everything costs money. I would take a truck like this over a new one any day.
My 74 F100 has a factory 4x4 operation sticker on the dash plus the pattern was on the original knob. they where also different whether it was the 203 or 205, not sure on the year and application at this time though. I'm using 79 Bronco drivetrain in mine, 400, C6, 203 T-case, all rebuilt and setting covered up while I work on the chassis and body stuff...
A lot of good information and excellent run down of the major areas of concern ty. also i noticed the coil has been relocated. i've heard different stories about the coil getting to hot on the engine but also if your engine running properly shouldn't be a concern. curious your opinion. ty for the videos.👍 🍁🍁
Nice walk around but I would definitely check a lot more than that if I was looking at a truck cab mounts floorboards cab bushings the rails and the bad shock mounts all kinds of things I would definitely check if I was looking at a truck a lot more than what you did steering components what is leaking
Great video. I’m curious though because I wouldnt do a project like that without pulling engine tearing down and buy missing parts. So in those cases are the motor issues even a problem. I’ve got a 78 now working on but looking for my next one.
