No, stinky tents works good too. Dodge City that was that way when I was going there 25 years ago. I imagine it was that way when Matt Dillon and his sidekick Festus were there for the growing of Dodge City!
I screamed you scream we all scream 🍧🍨🍦. You're not the only Dork in the 🌏🌎🌍😂😅😆😁😄. Its okay. Hooking trailers up or whatever is cool with us. Glad we saw Mrs Sarah. It's always good to see the 👸🏻 of your life. Safe Travels SCHIMDT and 🐕🦺. 🛣️🚛💨💨💨💨
Can I leave a little tip for the mud bogg situation, I get like hand towels that match the truck or black or gray and keep them in front of the seats . Then on a long towel in between the seats it longway from Shifter to sleeper edge really helps cut down dirt inside the cab especially floor. He ain't got them out flopping out and throw them back in and wash them separately
I did not scream for that joke. Things just don't look right without snow. And thank you once again for the mental picture. Just when I thought it was gone. Stay safe, and God bless.
KURT YOU ARE A HOOT ! BEAUTIFUL WIFE YOUR SUCH A BLESSING ! OPIE IS A BEAUTIFUL POOCH HE IS A BEYOND WORDS BLESSING ! BE BLESSED STAY SAFE ✊👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🚂🚂🚂🚂KURT THE FLAGS WERE AWESOME !! 🙏
Schmidt you have a beautiful Truck and a loyal German and a lovely family.,By all accounts you are blessed! PS I love your whistling diesel. Reminds me of the trucks we drove overseas in the Army. Just the sound that is.
reminds me of the love my 10 step-Fathers gave me, that I could never repay. I wish I could get'em all in a huddle & love them one last time! the flavor of life! sorry....

I had a run of those “What the hell can I do about it” phone calls from home several years ago. Week 1: “The water softener is puking out water onto the floor” “Move the lever to ‘bypass’ and I will look at it this weekend” Week 2: “The microwave stopped working” “Get the small one out of the garage and I will replace the ‘built-in’ unit this weekend” Week 3: “The refrigerator quit working” “Move the food to the beer fridge in the garage and we will buy a new one this weekend”
Kurt no red light, going tactical tonight! That red light helps save your night vision, just so you know. Sorry about your home problems, but we all have them! Remember it’s only money.
"I feel your pain".............. You & your Daughter have a wonderful connection-when she does go away to college-there will be a tear shed. However-the bond still remains. It's OK Dad-mine is now home for Christmas break-just let her watch this vid & got a big hug from my now young woman. Mine is an ice skater-she found it a few years back & it is now her passion. Along with college-she is now a sophomore at the University of Idaho. To quote Al Stewart-"time passages........." Enjoy my friend.
Funny you mention hauling pig ears. Our local farm and ranch store sells them by the piece or a big bag of them for $30 bucks. Our dogs love them! I wouldn't be surprised that some or all them you haul become chewy for dogs. Thanks for sharing, Ken
Schmidt had nothing to do with those pigs 🐷 running around with ears. Plus I love to cook pig ears, I make a delicious meal/ soup 🍲 staring pig ears. ✌🏾
Hey Schmidt, new subscriber here, have been binge watching. Please talk a little about fuel costs and fuel mileage, also range of your truck. Does the weight your hauling make a big difference?? Keep up the good work and love to Opie.😍
I know what you mean about kids. I was looking for a load out of El Paso to anywhere east or northeast. Nothing, so I left, checked every night where I stayed until I ran out of time. Had to be at my boys baseball tournament in Bangor Maine and didn't have time for a load then. I told him I would be there and I was. El Paso to Bangor, empty, fuel and tolls and getting back out of Maine usually empty to at least NY, Pa. Ct. and he has no idea to this day. Now days, no phone calls or visits and we were best buds. Hurts
Hi! I live about 6 miles from this rest area and there is a sportsman's gun club 4 miles East of where you were at the rest area. It might have been that? Also hunting season in Nebraska like you said. I am new to your channel and like your travels!! Drive safe!! My dad has been trucking since the late 60s and he's still out there!! Lost his house in the flood a few years ago but was able to rebuild.
I never busted a tire belt until this year. Not from impact, just that the set of tires was nearing the end of its life, and one belt must have given out from age or a defect. It seemed so unlikely, that I assumed something was wrong with my car. In one day, it had gone from smooth, to shaking like a huge wheel weight had been added or removed. Extremely bad at the resonant speed (around 55mph, I think) so I stayed well away from that speed and took things easy as far as cornering also. I already had a brand new set of tires I'd scooped up for cheap a year earlier, so got them installed, and the car was smooth as glass at any speed. Saved me from getting a 4-wheel alignment or even having to figure out which tire had become imbalanced by having someone drive along with me, or have me drive past them. The good timing was nice.
Every one is correct, it is flying half mast for both of the women. Beautiful sunset 🌆 The virus 🦠 going on right now for the animals is just awful. Plus the RSV, and Streptococcal (Strep) I just got over having Strep, it’s horrible. Yes, poor puppy needs some take out too, lol 😂 We have been through our son graduating and now he’s 24yr and on his own with 2 jobs. We are so proud of him 😊❤ Stay safe and help Sarah with that car of hers that likes curbs-not her fault 😃😁👋✌️🦮❄️⛄️⛄️🎄
Hello you do a lot of night driving you should put some chicken lights on , I enjoy watching your show and i live in Oregon , i used to drive but my health went south so i lost my license and sure miss it but i thank you for sharing your life with us . Merry Christmas and happy new year
I never hauled pig ears. But I hauled a load of cattle hides from Burbank WA to Laredo TX. My reload at Laredo was bulk rawhide chips to Great Bend KS.
Hey bro I live in lemars I've become and own op 18 months ago I've only been otr for 3 years my previous career fell apart do to health issues let me explain on that I ran excavating crews for 25 years and if I didn't quit I'd basically be fused from skull to shoulder
NAKED ? GLAD YOU DIDNT FILM THAT, 50 DEGREES BEEN IN THE 60S TODAY IN FLORIDA, TO COLD TOO BE OUTSIDE WITH WIND, AND I AM COMPLAINNIG ? SAFE RIDE KURT AND MY DOG IN THE BACK BUNK
Any idea what happened to that Iowa trucker who's disappeared? I saw an interview with his wife; it all seems so strange. His truck was kinda in the middle of nowhere. If there was a problem, why leave it (unless he was kidnapped, but why?)?
Schmidt, thanks for delivering those pig 🐷 ears. I make a delicious meal with pig ears, and a delicious soup 🍲 with pig ears. Oh, tell my dude Opie 🐕 I said hey. Ask Opie when he's going to retire. ✌🏾
Are you using previous recorded footage of the Topeka parking lot? Lately it’s in almost every video. Don’t know what kind of arrangement your company has with the owners of the lot but someone needs to kick in some money for rock. It’s either extremely dusty or a swamp.
You have to feel sorry for the folks living in those houses where their front yards are feet from a two lane highway with all of those trucks just whizzing by. I can’t imagine the chunk it must take out of the selling price if you decide to sell, and that’s if you can find a buyer! I wouldn’t hang around out in the open with all of those rifles popping off. 1 have 9 dogs and 6 out of the 9 came down with a “virus”. $330 later they are all on medication.
Kurt, locomotives are REQUIRED to sound their horn 4 times at every grade crossing, except in the rare "Quiet Zones". The cadence is long, long short, long and the last long is supposed to be at arrival of the grade crossing. Has nothing to do with "anger", it's a mandated safety requirement. Most locomotives have event recorders, and if a crew does not comply with this regulation, they could be disciplined. Love the channel, dude, keep posting!
Hi mate I live in Australia I’ve never been to the USA I love watching you you guys is there any chance you could put up a map of where you’re going maybe from your home to your destination cheers from aus 👍🍻
I'm wondering if the train was blaring the horns because it's dark and possibly a known bad area for crossings. Maybe no lights at the intersections and just signs. Driver was only trying to avoid a nasty surprise.
just soak in all the last year of high school and expect to shed a tear when they leave for college, that is the easy stuff, wait til they leave and never come back and move 7000 miles away, that's the hard shit!
