To give other viewers a snapshot of Canadian restrictions and what this convoy is all about. Here in Ontario, Canadas most populous province, only vaccinated people can eat inside a restaraunt, which btw were ordered closed for a month and just reopened two days ago, to 50% capacity. So riddle me this? If the unvaccinated are NOT allowed inside to eat and only vaccinated can, why close restaurants to everyone? Then when they do open to only vaccinated people why can they only be at 50% capacity and fully vaccinated. In Canada you are NOT allowed to leave the country if you are unvaccinated, you cant leave by car, bus, train, plane or boat if you are NOT vaccinated. You can not enter an airport in Canada if you are unvaccinated. You can not fly from Toronto to Vancouver if you are unvaccinated, you can only drive your own car. You can not take a plane, train or bus for travel if you are unvaccinated. You can not travel to certain parts of Canada whether you are vaccinated or not. In Canada you CAN NOT work from home for the federal government if you are unvaccinated. Doctors can refuse to see you if you are unvaccinated and have NO covid, but if you are vaccinted and do have covid, you can see a doctor. In Quebec you can not buy liquor or marijuana if you are unvaccinated. (Marijuana is legal in Canada). In Canada you CAN NOT collect Unemployment Benefits if you are unvaccinated. In Quebec, you can no longer go to walmart, canadian tire, and other previously listed "essential" Stores when the pandemic started. If you wanted to feed your family, or get a car battery, these things are now much harder for you if you're unvaccinated. Buying any small appliances or elements needed to fix a leaky pipe cannot be done from a store 1500m or bigger. This is what this trucker protest is all about. Dont listen to the MSMs of the world. Tractors, of the farm rather than the highway variety, would seem to indicate that farmers are as unimpressed with government positions as the truckers. This just keeps getting worse for the governments all the time.

That's funny, because we are getting a lot of freedom back since things are reopening week over week, yet these protests are just forcing businesses to close and roads to be closed. Seems counter productive to me. Our cases are going down. I tried to get an exam certification and my exam was cancelled twice because of exam center lockdown and I was informed one day before the exam two times now for virus lockdown reasons, after that I got pretty discouraged, I was putting 10+ hours a day preparing for the exam, for every bit of life experience that you try to have they are just flat out denying it, Amazing how bad they are treating people, its getting really ridiculous.
What freedom have they lost? As a local, these fking truckers stripe our right to sleep, they kept honking at night and causing traffic jam. These fkers already cause lots of problems in the city, and I have no sympathy if they got shot by the enforcement. Danger to the society.

Fully support freedom of speech and peaceful protests - good for Canadians to voice their opinion! Drove around Gardiner and QEW today, traffic was terrible and the most ridiculous thing is that they closed portion of Gardiner when you reach Parklawn, but you can get on it from Lakeshore or Queensway in Etobicoke instead. Makes no sense and people can figure out the bypass anyhow. Very punitive measures taken by the City, instead of figuring out how to control the crowd better. Same was on DVP. Treacherous traffic and there is no reason to hold back people who have appointments, errands and other things to do in the City. I saw people who had nothing to do with this protest flipping fingers to the Police blocking the roads, I'm sure there will be more angry people at the City and Police. This could of been prevented and planned better.
This is the price you pay for living in a country where freedom of expression is encouraged. Be thankful your lives were just inconvenienced, ask a German citizen of 1936-1939 -- if you could -- and find out how terrible life really was. Thank you for not taking away my freedom of speech by deleting this post. When demonstrations of angry adults last too long, often, mob violence is the end result, with nothing good accomplished. Such behavior reminds me of the quote, "Even friendly mobs, have the smell of the beast" ... author unknown. Whoever organized this disorganization, should have taken the complaints to court, rather than to the streets. That is the way civil people behave. Let the Supreme Court judges decide the matter.
