When the government take your livelihood away from you and food from your children's mouths, it's not an inconvenience. When the government bans you from visiting your dying parent/spouse/grandparent in hospitals or nursing homes, it's not an inconvenience. When the government locks you down in your home preventing you from meeting your own family, it's not an inconvenience. When the government hurts small businesses by imposing capacity restrictions and vax passports, it's not an inconvenience. When the government tramples on all your rights including bodily autonomy, it's not an inconvenience. When you protest the government's above actions, it's not just an inconvenience but unlawful.

According to Stats Canada, in 2020 for every 1 excess death from the virus under age 45, there were 25 other excess deaths from things like overdoses. For people aged 45-64 it was 3 excess deaths caused by things like overdoses for every 1 death from the virus. Meanwhile, the worthless government was doing virtually nothing to protect the elderly while they died by the thousands. Even if the mandates had worked, I would be against them. But they clearly haven't worked! The government should have listened to actual medical and science experts, rather than corrupt bureaucrats.

By far the most interesting perspectives are people from places like Romania, who are saying how dangerous government tyranny like this is. Considering that the media has already become state-media, their warnings are especially scary.

According to Section 2 of the Canadian Charter every Canadian has : freedom of conscience and religion; thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication; peaceful assembly; and freedom of association.
They have the right to protest, no one says otherwise. They do not have the right to block roads, harass people, blast their horns day and night in a residential area etc. If they want to clear all the trucks out of there and peacefully protest, they certainly can. But until they release the hostages, we need to treat them like the criminals they are.

Every Canadian should have the right to make a donation or gift to another human-being or organization if they wish, whether it be money, source of heat, food, or any other item. Having these confiscated from the donor or recipient is no different than having them stolen. When these essential items are crucial for a persons health and welfare it becomes cruel, inhumane,and criminal. The gov, mayor and their paid puppets need to remind themselves who pays their wages! The Canadian gov must be getting tons of international pressure from other governments telling them to put down their people and get them in line. This morning I woke up and browse the international news form the lib media. As if on cue, one of the common headline is "OTTAWA UNDER SIEGE' I was able to watch the footages from two of them BBC in UK, and GMA in USA. They showed the same footages- people standing walking, some with flags. Parked trucks. some honking. Areal footage of the crowd gathered around the parliament and crowds on the streets cheering for the truckers. No footage of violence like riots, burning, looting those common sights from the group which Trudeau praised for peaceful protests in the past. The only violence I 'heard' in the news was from Ottawa chief who accused the protesters as violent group.
As Americans we've been watching the protests and Ottawa looks fantastic. We want to visit Ottawa this summer. But, not with ridiculous "health" restrictions that make tourism virtually impossible for most Americans. Hopefully voters will toss out Trudeau and his minions soon.
The police tactics are shameful. A responsible counter to these shameful tactics could be for the protestors that are not truckers to move their protests to the police stations. Surround the police stations in a peaceful manner. If pods of Canadian vets could stand behind the peaceful protestors on each side of the police stations then police movements could be slowed in a lawful manner. Do not try to stop the police from their lawful work, but on public property, the police would have to move the protestors in order to enter or leave the police stations. We should never incite violence toward the police. But this would be a very effective counter to police tactics. And it sends a powerful message. A message from Canadians that we want our rights and freedoms restored. All of Canada is proud of those that fight for our rights and freedoms. I am sure that Canadian vets that put their lives on the line to protect our rights and freedoms, are capable of correctly organizing pods for such peaceful tactics.

We, Canadians, need to get our voices heard. As unvaccinated, I am only allowed to go to the grocery and drugstores. We, in the province of Québec, have the most stringent restrictions in North America. This has to stop since it's been going on for 2 years now, too long. In Ottawa (capital of Canada), Toronto (City in Ontario) and Québec City (capital of the province of Québec), NOT ONE government representative saw fit to come forward and talk with the "Convoy Freedom 2022".
